Is your yeast in date and out of reach of warmth and moisture - or is it the same yeast you used in the white?

Do you have any vitamin c tablets? This helps it rise in a breadmaker

Were you using the wholemeal setting?

I would definitely try a 50-50 loaf. Always worked for me perfect. Throw a vitamin c tablet in , crushed up , if you have one

They did come off the tray in the end (and in one piece!) so I have frozen them and will just reheat when I want them. Not for a while...i'm sick of the sight of them :p (they do taste lovely though if anyone does decide to make them!)

After your posts? Not a blurdy chance !:rotfl:

Ok so we know the yeast works.....

Vitamin c - you can get them cheaply in a chemist. 20 for £2 ish from memory. Or a big tesco etc.

Fingers crossed it works, still use the whole meal setting , everything else the same, but half white flour half brown.

Fingers and toes for you! x Eek! I'll feel responsible if it goes wrong, but I am pretty sure it won't:eek::rotfl:

Differing opinions about Vit c if it is really necessary. Discussed here . I use it as I am too scared to vary from the reipes he he

For your info, i use Vit c even in the 50-50 .

  • went into one of my freezers today, and seen that it had de- frosted and re- freezed again, when i asked my kids waht had happened, one of them had left the door open, and the other one then closed it, but the damage had been done,

i have to throw the meat out on the next bin day:mad:, but was just wondering if the frozen veg would be ok to use?

    what would you do?
