    Hm, thanks! I might try pick out the pips, but I noticed when I was gorging said apples that most of them didn't have pips (or didn't see to; I eat pretty much right to the core). But I guess it's a good thing that I've been too lazy to get roudn to it. :p

    Can you use a regular frying pan for welsh cakes? I don't think I have a "heavy" one.

    Also, mixed spice, say it's a teaspoon - can I just replace with half a teaspoon cinnamon, half a teaspoon nutmeg? That's pretty much the only spices I have except ginger.

    I just used my tefal frying pan and they were lovely.
    I love cinnamon so would totally go with that and the nutmeg, though I always just mess with ingrdients anyway :)
