Anyone know a good way for me to get all the soap gossip (and upcoming secret stuff!!) without me buying Inside Soap???? :( Saving £1.35 a week could do me good, but I know I'll be craving my soap "fix" and probably give in (I don't have TV license so no TV to catch the daily stuff!)

Also will give up weekly celeb mag - only get 99p one :D and can just go to magazine websites to catch up ;)

If only I could convince 4yr old DD to give up hers - nearly my two put together in cost *eep!!*

  • Well have rationed my coffee to one a day from what I have left, which I have when I first get up. Since I am not as keen on tea I dont seem to be having as many cuppa's during the day/evening.

Boyfriend took me into boots today because he needed some bits. I wandered off and started looking at makeup, sighing alot. But didn't buy anything!

I'm on a magazine overload, I had 2 magazines bought in for me at work and My boyfriend bought me heat magazine last night when we took my dog for a walk. No chocolate either, apart from a woman in meadowhall who was giving out free bars of cadburys dairy milk  so I've got one of those on the side.

Just noticed the time!! That's one more day down. Hope everyone's doing okay today :)
  • This is a fantastic challenge and I would like to participate too - 100 days from tomorrow morning I think takes me up to 29th December!

I'm going to refrain from buying magazines, make-up and chocolate - should be pretty hard but I'm sure it'll save me tons!!

I'm gonna add it to my signature too....

Hi all - how is everyone coping so far? For me, giving up magazines is really difficult as I'm a sucker for headlines and love reading certain weeklies for the fashion and TV guides. So for those of you giving up more than one thing, how do you manage?! ;) Today has been particularly difficult because it's been a boring Sunday and usually I wouldn't think twice about nipping to the shop and buying Heat, but I resisted all day.

I've been thinking about asking my OH for a magazine subscription for Christmas, or save up Tesco points, but I'm sure after the 100 days is over I won't even think about them any more. x

  • Well I went to a big tescos on Saturday when I was visiting my mum (round where I live we only have small ones so I don't often get to go to a big one) and where I would normally have been running around picking up all the bogofs and special offers, this time I managed to walk all the way down the toiletries aisle without looking left or right and didn't buy a single thing. I was quite proud of myself.

Just wanted to say well done everyone and keep up the good work. I think we're all doing really well!
  • Hi, hope I'm not too late, I would love to join this challenge. My weakness is for crisps, I know i would otherwise replace them with cakes and biscuits so I will give up bying them all for 100 days, will also give up takeaways as I spend far too much on rubbish food.

  • Hello All,

Still managing to stay on track. I'm not missing the magazines too much (but then I haven't put temptation my way by looking at them in the supermarket). I am missing the crisps dreadfully though but am determined. Only problem is I think I am eating more chocolate to make up for the crisps.

Not missing chocolate either, I had abit of the free bar the other day and thought 'Apples are sweeter!' Quite scary, really quite scary.
