Argh! SO much to do before loft conversion starts in less than 2 weeks (all those boxes in the attic........)

    Anyway:

    IN:
Presents for DS2 (bday today) (although most of his presents from us were ones from the attic wrapped up and we've shoved money in his CTC account - recycling of toys not done for financial reasons but to stop yet more stuff coming in that is similar!!) More to come from friends and relations later tonight...
    Moses basket stand (freecycle)
    Steering wheel for PS2 (freecycle)
new hooded towel and pack of bibs in sale for May baby

    OUT:
Bag of 5 pairs of DHs shoes (aka Imelda) (recycling)
Bag of clothes (recycling - mainly DHs, but some of mine and a couple of kids items)
1/2 bin liner of clothes waiting to be collected by charity on Friday (hopefully going to get this bag full by end of week!)
Bits and pieces - nothing to speak of, but wheelie bin has twice as much rubbish in as normal, so some progress MUST have been made
Few items to be returned to Matalan later today
Bag of ties on freecycle - collected yesterday

    PENDING:
2 items on ebay finishing today/ tomorrow
Lots of card and plastic bottles in carboot to go to supermarket (but not today as DS2 is bound to get cardboard packaging with pressies tonight from relatives)
Box of paperbacks/ hardbacks sorted to go to WI next week - will freecycle those which don't sell
Unused coffee set put aside for WI
Large box of kids items sorted for NCT sale next month (also sorted a box of Summery ones for June sale and a box of Winter for October!!)

Right - now to get DS2 ready for playgroup, then I can hit Matalan on the way home!

Nice to see some many posts on here! May 2009 be the year of decluttering :D

  • Hi All and Happy New Year!

I haven't de-cluttered since Christmas - it seems to have just moved from one room to another, although I did take a bag of glass, lightbulbs and tetra paks to the recycling centre yesterday.

Nothing has come in today - not even post.
Nothing has gone out today, except some peelings for the compost.

There is however, a steady pile of items growing in the hall ready to go on ebay. Oh, and i contacted music magpie - they are going to buy some of my cd's and games, but i am still waiting for the labels and envelopes to arrive - anyone know how long they usually take??

  • littlemissthrifty - it usually takes about a week or so for the labels to turn up - and even longer for payment. Once you've sent them the stuff it takes about 2weeks for the email confirmation to come through and then the cheque is about a week later. I actually forgot about one of them it took so long!

    In
    6pack of Lidl Pepsi offer

    Out
Engagment ring from ex to Cash Converters
Collection of old magazines from bedside table to recycling
Old tins of dried out paint to recycling centre
    Old radiator
    Broken laundry basket
    Selection of coins to bank

Keeping a few old tiles for a mosaic project but I put them in a box neatly instead of sprawled out. I have so much crap under my stairs it's scary and I've only been here 2 years!

Well my decluttering offically began today (yesterday was cleaning and then lying around in agony, stoopid bag back :( )

    OUT:
Box of Avon books x 2
Loads or other Avon bits and bobs (all to my aunty :D)
Bag of clothes to my sister
Bag of clothes for the charity shop
Bag of rubbish for the bin

I've finally sorted and put away all the clothes from the back bedroom, I was very strict with myself and got rid of clothes I know we don't wear. The bedroom looks loads better but I have to stop again now, can only manage a couple of hours and then I need to take some strong painkillers and lie down...shame because once I start cleaning/decluttering I really get the bug and don't want to stop.

I think tomorrow is going to be a cleaning day as the kitchen is a mess, then Thursday I will do the cupboard under the stairs...that should be fun :rotfl:
 Think happy & you'll be happy
    I :heart2: my doggies
