New year and new start!!
I did pretty well getting to grips with decluttering last year - and this year I'm going to try again and really blitz stuff!
Christmas all packed up for another year yesterday - need to put the boxes back in the spare room tonight, and sort through Christmas cards.
Got through a fair amount of paperwork yesterday, it's been building up over the past few months as other things have got in the way - so I'll be dealing with that as a top priority this week.
Managed to find 'proper' homes for all but about 2 presents this year so really pleased, lots of really practical but nice things clothes, food and smellies wise and hardly bought anything in the sales so not a lot has come into the house.
Right so priority for this week is paperwork - I'll see how much I can sort by next Sunday evening - the compost bin will be getting more shredded paper this weekend I think...Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

Decorations down and put away and I've thinned out in the lounge the stuff that was on the walls, plus taken down set of shelves, sorted through the bits and pieces on them..................some I'll hang on to and give as christmas pressies, the shelves and the rest will go on freecycle or charity shop. At last, I've got somewhere to hang my picture :TMary

Books, clothes, shoes, weird stuff....it's all back in my house again!
Have listed about 20 items on ebay today in an attempt to win back my previous momentum!
Good luck everyone!Overpay!0 -

In: £125
Out: University textbooks
Result: One very happy skint_chick with car tax sorted 2 months in advance!
Electric cupboard sorted and decluttered - all my leads/chargers etc are tidy and labelled so I know what's what and old yellow pages etc recycled. Printer paper organised so it doesn't get crumpled and old pizza menus chucked because I'm losing weight this year! I had some really bizarre stuff in my electric cupboard - it's in the corner of my living room so saves having a corner table for drinks/landline/coin tin"I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."
