Today I thinned out another small set of shelves -some of the bits and bobs on it will go to charity shop, some are in spare room to recycle as pressies -others back on the shelf.
Two scanners due to go on freecycle............so nothing actually 'out' today but one step towards it.
    I'm getting there (I think :rotfl: )

hi over the weekend, took lots more stuff to the local charity shop and did the glass recycling bank.
But this weekend is a different kettle of fish, we have a skip arriving, so all the stuff in the back garden from where the bathroom was redone before Xmas will be gone, and anything else i can find to sling as well.

Need to knuckle down. Not done anything since the start of christmas week.

Have guest a week friday so need to get cracking on getting the place up together.

Out: Not much. Oh yes 160 teabags husband took to where he volunteers today.

in: well loads of 75% off christmas decoration. And drink as I said having people over.
Um some clothes for me. But need to shift a little bit of weight as they are just a tad tight.

That is for me. I am freezing at the moment.

    Yours

    Calley

Please note that I brought nothing into the house today except food, but DH went to M&S clearance sale and bought 4 shirts:eek: (OK, they were £3 each instead of £29.99 but he needs shirts like a hole in the head  ).

Hello everyone. May I join too? I'm very cluttered! Will be interested to know where you fling the china dinner service, champys. I inherited a really nice one 5 years ago and it's still here, unused. It's just surplus to requirements.

Losinmoney - believe it or not, I intend to USE it......! Meaning that I will fling what we're using now and replace it with Mum's best. It is of quite nice Scandinavian design that will not look out of place with porridge or sandwiches, and as there is 12 of everything, even with casualties it will stretch from us two to dinner parties. Only the cups & saucers fill me with dread as we only ever use mugs.

No progress at all today, as we had to go to Town after my workday to get the car fixed.

    IN: food shopping
    OUT: absolutely nothing :-(

    Promise to do better tomorrow!

  • Wow Champeys. It's a good idea to use the china. Perhaps I should look critically at my existing...!

Like Bibbitybob, I've been lurking on here, but for ages, months and months. And I have been doing bits, in my own way. Just thinking back on what I've done over the last week....

    IN
well, I bought a couple of bars of chocolate, but I ate them straight away .... :)

    OUT
    - free weights to freecycler, *never* used them.
    - 3 bags garden rubbish.
    - bits and bobs found in ensuite-to-be room - to go to the charity shop.
    - ordinary recycling
    - bits from DIY bits and bobs that just weren't needed/broken.
    - old paint tin, of a colour I *hate* now.
    - one Amazon sale.

    I'm pleased with that lot!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • This week :

    In: Tesco food shopping :D
New electric toothbrush as someone broke the old one

Out: Old out-of-date catalogues onto the recycling pile
    Two Amazon sales
Two children's books to a friend
A large air football table cleaned and got ready to be given to brother-in-law
Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

    Today:

    IN
    - M&S food shopping (mainly nice veggies for my poorly mum who is recovering from bronchitis)
    - Juice and diet coke from Lidl

DITHERING (neither in nor out, but hopefully on its way)
    - one dress finally listed on eBay - YEEHAW!

    OUT
    - bag of assorted iffit from around the desk, plus a bag of paper recycling, and half a bag of paper to shred (Did I see someone mention that shredding can go on the compost heap? Quite satisfying to think that my old bills could be helping the Jerusalem artichokes along...)
    - 2008 calendars x 3
    - some chocolate white mice that made me feel a bit yuk - no one else here fancies them
    - one empty box of Thornton's Viennese Truffles - I helped the last two on their way earlier
