We have had and filled to overflowing 5 skips of rubbish.. that does not include the stuff I have freecycled, ebayed, charity shopped, given away and thrown in the wheelies.. in the last 3.5 years.
In the 6 months before we moved here I charity shopped over 200 binbags of stuff! I made £5,000 on ebay ALONE just shifting stuff from within the house!!
I don't know where the stuff comes from.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Well I have to get my backside in gear a bit - our loft conversion was originally planned for late Feb and is now starting in 2 weeks!!! EEK!! LOTS of sorting to be done!
In the meantime I have put away all Xmas decs (DS2's bday on Tues) and finally got around to doing 2007/08 tax return - and I'm owed a small refund - yippee! This has meant I have tidied some of my paperwork to enable tax return to be done - another yippee!

Can I join you on the decluttering mission too please, after putting OH's and my houses together 8 years ago we still haven't finished sorting out what is what!
Over the last 3 days I have decluttered my wardrobe and undies drawer, the cupboard over the stairs (stuff that might come in useful - AKA junk), and the cupboard by the backdoor that is mostly shoes.
Out - 2 bin bags of recycling, 1 carrier bag to the rubbish, 1 bag to charity.
Going out, eventually, large box of things to ebay.
I have challenged myself to listing around 10 items a week on ebay - and have done the first 10. Is it only me that finds it really tedious?
In - a couple of late christmas cards, one bag of cat litter and a bottle of cooking oil (I've resisted the sales  ).
This next week I am still off work and before next Saturday would really like to tackle: the 'tupperware' cupboard, the Christmas decorations boxes, and (eek) my bedside table, drawers and the stuff hidden underneath!!
Cheers

I've tried all the supermarkets over the years but we still go back to sainsburys its got the edge on the asda's,morrisons and tesco's
Lets just hope it's not a sharp edge :rotfl: sorry could not resist.
Anyway I was good the week before christmas and did a massive clean up in the kitchen and went through every drawer and cupboard. Only the larder left to do.
Had to really push the bin bags down in the wheelie bin. It was picked up today. So now I can start all over again :rotfl:

Can I join in/ask a little question?
I am pretty good at clearing out all the old rubbish we accumulate, as is DS1, but DS 2 (nearly 14) has a veritable treasure trove of toys in the cupboard in his bedroom that he no longer wants now he is a teenager. I've already listed and sold some of his books/DVDs on Amazon, so he has made some money, but does anyone know if toys and games sell well? I think I will try, but I don't know anyone who has done it
Some have been given to charity or to his little cousins, but there are some things he wants to try and sell, to make money for phone credits and Xbox 360 games!
Out today - DH cleared out all the large cardboard boxes and packaging that were lurking in the garage, and took it to the recycling section at the local dump.
And also some unwanted Christmas presents of chocolates/fudge to my BIL.
Nothing came inEnjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.
