    Mortgage-free Glee!
Well started my day sorting the sock drawer and ended up with about 20 odd socks

I have cleared out some of my old pyjamas now I have new ones from Christmas and am writing my list of "to clear":
    • Wardrobe - so much to do here - drawers to clear, shoes to bin, stuff for freecycle
    • Office - clear files, shred, sort paper recycling, list ebay items, tidy spaghetti of wires everywhere!
    • Paperwork - do accounts, tax return, invoice, etc.
    • Sewing room - some fabric to sort and give away on freecycle.
    • Shed - more clearing out to do
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

I am resuming my flinging tomorrow.. my legs hurt too much to do much today.

I have 1 bag of stuff to send to charity shop already and a box od crockery so that's a start.

I have got a wonderfully soft new mattress protector which feels like heaven and means I don't have to tolerate the neebs on the naked mattress and hopefully I won't have to wash marks off the mattress every time I wash the sheets.. hubby slobbers in his sleep.. it is gross!

I am then aiming to get through ALL the childrens clothes and mine and hubbys... and the bed linen.

Then I aim to have a cull on the toys and clutter.. then no doubt we will be up to next christmas and I'll be starting all over again. I have a box of stuff to put in the local paper to shift, including the car seat.. it has been used a grand total of 4 times in 3 years, I don't think we need to keep it.

And I need to sort the shed out and make room in it then I am going to have hubby run some electrics to it and put a huge chest freezer in there..

I have a TD to go but the new one is ordered already.

So much your post could have been written by me, it's uncanny :o

I've been thinking about doing the freezer in shed thing for about 18 months now as the shed is only about 15 feet from the house, but ours is one of those standard sized sheds (I have no idea the actual size, but it's the size I always see iyswim) and I was worried about it overheating as it gets very, very hot in there over the summer. That and the cost of getting a sparky it link it all up (OH a plumber but hasn't got his part P so can't apparently ). Do you think it would be ok in there then?

I'm desperate for more freezer space as I have a fridge freezer, but find I cannot cook double and freeze it of more than one thing, plus I can't take advantage of whoopsies as I have no-where to put them. :(

Made a start ...............cleared out the magazine cupboard! Don't even want to think how much we have spent on them this year! One pile to MiL , one to keep and a huge load of magazines and christmas catalogues to recycle tomorrow. Also sorted out some books to pass on to mum.
OH to work tomorrow and all visitors gone so a major clear out day!

Overslept due to watching film on tele last night so didn't think I'd get much done -if anything - but I've almost cleared the top of my desk - found free sample of lipstick and lip liner that I meant to give to grandaughter so that;ll go upstairs with other bits and pieces for christmas pressies.
Photos that are kicking about waiting to be 'organised' into albums are now in my wicker tray on the desk so at least they're all in one place. Free samples of cat food about to be enjoyed by 3 felines queuing up for their dinner, 2 free samples of Lenor now in cupboard with cleaning stuff.
Found £2 in change !!!:T Bonus !! What else is lurking there I wonder ??
Letter rack is about to fall over with stuff that needs filing away - I'll do that later -or tomorrow ?

Nothing for charity shop but a lot of paper for recycling !

Diaries now completed so I know when I'm supposed to be somewhere and new calendar on the wall so hoping that will 'organise' me................lol:rotfl:

I've been considering it for the 3 years since we moved in but everything else takes precedence.. but I am sick of running out of food!

My hubby is a stonemason so will do the electrics anyway.. he hasn't managed to kill himself yet. Our shed is at the bottom of our 45ft garden so a bit of a hike for a bag of sausages but I'll live. Ours gets really hot too, but so does the kitchen so it will just have to work a bit harder on those rare superhot days.

Thanks, pigpen! I think I'll probably go with it as I'm sick of running out of food too. Have no idea how much a sparky will charge to do it, maybe I can lay the cabling and get a sparky to link it all up, as it were.

Problem now is where to put all the rubbish I've accumulated in the shed!

This thread is like a meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous, I suppose if any
of us is ever going to succeed it is a question of trying to establish why it is we have rooms full to the ceiling of stuff?

For my part I think it was growing up poor in the 70's and just not wanting to throw stuff out that might be needed. As well as a large dose of despair at where to begin.:rotfl:

    So what's your excuse?

    Part squirrel genes.....:p

No, I come from a long line of hoarders -(blame WWII:rolleyes: ). Nan always had a store cupboard full of cling peaches, sugar and loose tea....:o, Mum wasn't much better (but had the room to store it all).

I am trying to be better but as I HATE waste I have to find somewhere for it to go.......I love recycling:D
