IN: Can't seem to shake off this habit I have of buying at boot sales when I should be selling! Books are my main weakness!
Get yourself back to the library! You know it makes sense - the books are even cheaper there than they are at the boot sale; huge range; if you want something in particular, you can order it, and, once you've finished with it, you take it back, and there's NO CLUTTER at the end of the process!!!! :TReason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

I looked on the site (I buy things, but have never sold) and it all looks very daunting and I have quite a few things I'd like to get some cash for. Or is there some other forum I should look in? I'm sure that if I could sell a few things I'd feel more confident and be able to get started on the mountain of stuff which fills my house, but it all just seems too complicated (and I looked at using a trading assistant, but to pay them 30% sounds like an awful lot).
I would be very grateful for any ideas.....
first dont use a trading assistant
the easiest thing to do is to have a go at listing a handful of similar things on ebay
perhaps 5 to start
see how it goes and if you get stuck with any aspect of listing ask us on here
there is a forum on here to help where the peeps are really nice
i agree with the one about sending wrong items to wrong ppl  keep it small til you get used to it and then expand when it becomes easier
good luckSave 12k in 2015 member 187. £62.50/60000 -

I'm now in 'heartless' mode and just getting rid of anything which has been lingering unused (apart from sentimental items of course) and that now includes kitchen items - unused tea services and assorted other crockery and long unused baking stuff- and store cupboard stuff which is just lying around (like opened and partly used dried milk which now smealls so bad I don't want to put it in my mouth).
As for clothes... I'm keeping a few of my 'too small' and 'no longer in fashion' items as I'm activly losing weight and they are acting as my 'fat-loss-ometer' :j to gauge how I'm doing (no scales in the house as they constantly break down and read way too high :rotfl:)
Work clutter gone back to work... :j
As for in - I'm taken delivery of a new mind set and attitude to live, love and everything.0 -
Trying to stay 'clutter neutral' but revamp the house at the same time:o
OUT:
- 25 year old cake tins x 3
- saggy chipboard bookcase
- old curtains
- bag of books
All recycled either to charity shop if good, to recycling centre if not.
- old bathroom mat (bin)
- 2 old saucepans (to DS's student house)
REPLACED with
- charity shop Laura Ashley curtains
- carboot sale glass doored bookcase (repainted)
- 1 cake tin (£2.49 - need another 2 but none in stock!)
- 1 mat £1.99
I'm really trying not to 'replace' the books with more, so went to the library.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
