Well done:T:T
Our local Tesco has a recycling bin for hangers - it's where I've been getting rid of mine recently. But someone may want yours for carbooting, or whatever

babies & childrens hangers, or the adult clippy ones, are often wanted by NCT sales - either people going to sell, or some branches who keep a stock for when sales start.

Well have at last listed the sunpipe we didn't end up installing back on ebay and also have phoned local motorcycle shop about getting my bike back on into a roadworthy state to sell.
I want to raise some funds to finance the deposit for a new car. Of course, old car will go up for sale too to add some more money into the pot!
I think I will also list some more items for ebay tomorrow. I have an old laptop, set of digital telephones and a few other items that may sell on ebay to put towards the car fund. Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

a bag full of coathangers......someone may want them.
If anyone in my local freecycle group posted coathangers, I would ask for them, so hopefully they will be taken! There is a massive shortage of them in our house; I just can't understand where they go!
OUT: A Clioful of stuff to boot sale and charity shop
A massive candle that has taken about three years to burn!
Some items on freecycle
Furniture on ebay, with one more huge item to go
Lots of paperwork into the shredder and then into our compost heap - I love decluttering, but am adamant that none of it should go to landfill!
IN: Can't seem to shake off this habit I have of buying at boot sales when I should be selling! Books are my main weakness!Overpay!0 -
I know this sounds very wet, but can one of you kind people who sound so confident about it steer me towards an idiot's guide to selling on e bay ? I looked on the site (I buy things, but have never sold) and it all looks very daunting and I have quite a few things I'd like to get some cash for. Or is there some other forum I should look in? I'm sure that if I could sell a few things I'd feel more confident and be able to get started on the mountain of stuff which fills my house, but it all just seems too complicated (and I looked at using a trading assistant, but to pay them 30% sounds like an awful lot).
I would be very grateful for any ideas.....0 -
Hi morganlefay. i cant offer help re listing but I can about quantities. Just list 1 thing to start with. after its sold and posted out and buyer has left feedback list another 1 thing. do this 3 times then you will hve familiarity with the system, then list 2 or 3 items only. its easy to post the wrong item to the wrong buyer if you get in a tizz [like me]. once you are used to it all i think its ok to list a few more things together. hope this helps."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0
