We have a lot of things stored in MIL's loft that we are gradually bringing back home (as we don't have a loft), so last visit we collected:
Two ornaments
Huge box full of my shoes - had forgotten I owned most of them, so hopefully will be able to get rid of the majority!
Box of tealights
Out
Carrier bag full of clothes to charity shop
Two bottles of posh bubble bath given to a charity raffle0 -
Another 2 days at school then I will rejoin this thread. Hoping to get the house sorted from top to bottom.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

I was born to be bossy! I think growing up with a dad in the forces, which meant we moved every 18 monthsand so couldn't have clutter/disorganisation, has made me a ruthless throw-outer. My husband, however, is wired differently, so he tends to hoard (and hide it, if he thinks I've got my eye on anything), while I've had to resort to dawn raids - well big sessions of taking stuff to the tip if he's away, and hoping he doesn't realise things have gone too quickly!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

Thank you all so much for your inspiration! After reading your thread my OH and I have been clearing out our home and making a lot of people on freecycle very happy as well as gaining a few extra pennies for us! We now have a lot less in our home and are feeling a lot more positive as a result. Thank you!!!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
