Hi all - just reading all the egg talk and OH has just walked in with a tray of 30 happy eggs (free range but not organic) large ones for £3.00:j

He gets them through his current temp job - hope he stays there a while:D

Loving the "freezing french toast" idea to use up eggs :T
I also forgot about making yorkshire puds, and freezing them. I normally do this, but it seeems to be a winter thing for me :o

I also losely follow WW.... and tend to work out points for most things... there is a bit of a diet theme going on at work, so its hard not too :o

I did work out the points for Weezl's lentil pate.... 2 and half points per portion...
And the yellow split pea pate was 2 points per portion.
I have to say though... these were rather large portions... I got 5 portions per recipe... and they were super filling last night, with a pitta bread and salad.

Hi all, another long time lurker here who actually might have a useful idea for once!

I batch cook egg fried rice - and think it tastes even better after it has been frozen. I also find egg mayonaise sandwiches freeze well.

By the way, there is a "half stone monthly challenge" running which is aimed at those who want to loose a lot of weight but find it too daunting, so break it down to 7lbs per month. I'll try and find the link.

I really love poached eggs
A slice of HM toast, with 2 poached eggs on top, is my perfect brekkie :D

Just been surfing the net, and found THIS cracking website ;):D
It does appear to have some very eggciting recipes. :D:D

    I'll get my coat.... :rotfl::p

    Edit....
There is a bit on the above website about freezing eggs...
    As follows...

Egg whites may be frozen in quantities of two in a freezer container. Cover the surface with a circle of greaseproof paper and freeze for up to three months.

Egg yolk should be mixed with half a teaspoon of salt or sugar to every three egg yolks before being frozen. Store in the freezer for up to three months and use for adding to sweet or savoury dishes, glazing foods, in burgers, pastry etc.

    Hi

I've just been looking at the egg recipe website:T and its well worth a look. The bacon and egg bread and butter pudding looks so scrummy. You could probably frugalise it by using sausage in place of some of the bacon as well. Well thats tomorrows tea sorted:j (Todays is already in the SC)

    Have a lovely day
