  • Hi all. Hope everyone is OK here in Weezl land!!! I have 2 questions!!! firstly, can anyone remember someone posting a recipe for mushroom rissotto in the first part of this thread. I can't find the recipe and I swear Im not imagining its existence!!!! I thought it was Mrs M or Munchki but can't remember. So if anyone knows what I'm talking about please could you point me in the direction, I thought I had it copied into my word doc but its not there!!! It had parmesan cheeses on top!!! Second question is does anyone have a recipe for lovely soft gingerbread men. I have never attempted it before in my life and I hear it is hard to make, but my sister is 28 weeks pregnant and craviing soft gingerbread men and i told her I would make her some!!!!! Thanks all. Big hugs to all that need them. PS, how many weeks are you now Weezl, if you dont mind my asking!!! I'm 16 weeks and panicking that I'm not fat enough, just got a tiny bit of a pot belly and thats it!!! x x x

  • Ahh that would have been me I think but it was more of a whack it in recipe - ie pint stock, mushrooms, 75g risotto rice per person. Fry onion and onions in a pan then add the stock and rice and simmer for 20 mins. Stir in some parmesan and I serve with garlic bread. Nommy as weezl would say - may make some today!
Bashful peoples "bump" sizes differ on your body me thinks - I would be weeblesque on day one as am short and weeblesque already...some people manage to have virtually no bump - those that are tall and muscluar (ie the lucky ones!) anyway. If you are worried have a chat with your midwife to check that baby growing as it should but it sounds as f you are just one of the lucky ones with a "perfect" bump!! hugs for you.Hope youre not feeling too tired? Hope if you are that the "blooming" stage reached soon!

Hi everyone, hope all is well and hugs for anyone needing them xx

We're off to Mum and Dad's for the weekend (my 2 DDs birthdays yesterday and the day before so we're going to go and see everyone and have a bit of a party) :D

Trying to keep with the frugal theme lately but not been into it 100% what with being so busy and having a darned cold doing the rounds ! DD1 has also been diagnosed with Asthma (although she's not got it severe so we should be thankful !) so we've been backwards and fowards to the docs over the last few weeks.

I think, now that we're so close to Xmas, i'm just going to try and keep spending as little as possible but not worry too much about being what I call 'really frugal' :o - and then in January, watch out ! lol :D I'm going to attempt to lose some weight in the new year too so cutting food spending will help on this (I do still intend to eat though ! :D Didn't want everyone getting impressions of me buying hardly any food and eating sparrow portions :p ). We've grown our own fruit and veg last year and plan to do lots more this year now we've got an allotment, so that will help no end too !

Anyway, nuff of my rambling ...... hope everyone has a great day/weekend.

Ohhh Bashful, before I forget, I didn't 'show' when I was pregnant until I was 20 weeks at least ! I got married when I was 22 weeks pregnant with my son and my dress needed no adjustments so don't worry about it too much, you'll soon 'pop out' ! If worried go and see midwife (as has been said before) but I think you'll be ok ;):D

If it's your first then that could be the reason. Your stomach muscles won't have been destroyed yet :rotfl:With my first I didn't have much of a bump until after about 30 weeks - then I got huge! With my other two I showed much earlier because the stomach muscles weren't as strong.

Of course some people don't show much at all and get back in their size 10 jeans before they come out of hospital  I hate them :rotfl::rotfl:(only joking:rotfl:)

    lol!!!! Thanks you guys!!!!
I never really thought about the stomach muscle thing. This is my 3rd pregnancy but I misscarried with the other 2 and this is by far the furthest we have got (ie out of the most danger after 13 weeks.) I do have a muscly stomach as I used to do 200 sit ups every night so maybe thats why, i hope so. ISOM: I am also a shorty. I am 5ft and a quarter!!!! or 5 foot and a fag paper as my dad used to say!!!!! Thanks all. Will just stop panicking I think, apparenty bubs gets a growth spurt in the next few weeks and will start showing more, then I'll be happy!!! and thanks for the mush risotto, what stock do you use chicken?? and what sort of mushrooms wild or just normal mushrooms!!!??

I can see why you were getting a bit concerned then. Don't worry, before you know it you'll have a nice big bump to be proud of!

  • Bashful I can totally understand why you feel so anxious and I think your widwife would totally understand you being so worried and maybe asking for extra care to compensate? Much better to have some extra hand holding than worry me thinks? Big prayers going up for you all and I am sure other weezlites will send up thoughts to whovever they send them to!! (mins the big J!!) ... Lol re the 5ft and a fag paper - I am 5ft nowt and sligtly worried that when I get older I'll shrink!
Re the risotto I suspect that the proper rice ould be better but anything will do I guess...same with musrhooms - I use your everyday asda smartprice variety (make weezl proud on at least one thing!!)...made some last night and it was yummy!...off to look after my godchildren for 24 hours! stay safe all!
