    Hello all,

not great weather here today: rather cloudy but so far its staying dry, which is great as Pixie and family are doing a sponsored walk today. Had a great day shopping with twink and Pixie yesterday :cheesy: I hope we can do it again soon!

I've been grocery shopping, so now am getting vaguely organised for the rest of the day. Lunch was sandwiches, and tea is going to be hm burgers. I've got a chicken so for the first time ever I'm planning to cook a full roast chicken this afternoon! It can then be cut up and put aside for tea tomorrow. Also planning to make a mince pie with some of the mince I bought for burgers, so that will be another thing for the freezer for tea during the week. The dishwasher is on, and I think we're going out soon to get another wire for the garden strimmer, so will be cooking lots when I get home. Until then, I think it's time for tea! :coffee:

*hugs* to all, hope you're having a nice day

    Afternoon All

Well I'm back from Spain, and have to say I'm glad to be home. Was going slightly nuts. Mum speaks no Spanish and wouldn't even try. Been head hunted for a job over there. Don't know what to do about it yet. There's no rush so I have time to think. The weather was lovely over there, so feeling a bit chilly today.

Back to work tomorrow - could do without that but couldn't we all:rotfl:

Checked my emails - over 600:eek: . This could take some time!!!

Just working through some surveys and will then do my daily clicks. Been missing them!

Not sure what dinner will be as I've not bee out shopping as I got in at 3am.

    Hope everyone's ok

  • Hi all!

Just popped in to say isn't the weather FAB!? It's so warm out there and one load of washing is already almost dry and my OH is doing another one as we speak.

mioliere - another Strictly fan, that is great! I thought the line up was better than 2007's - no obvious egomaniacs like Dom and that husband and wife team from last year!
Welcome glitterkitty you are doing really great, glad to have you with us and wish I had been as sensible as you at 24. I was doing my Masters Degree at that age and had debt up to my eyeballs despite working every part time job I could!
Blairweech - I made a kind of risotto thing the other day and we put in oats for the first time and the same thing happened, it went really claggy and did not taste or look nice. But I have made spaghetti bolognaise, and that has grated carrot and celery in it as part of the WW recipe and I think that helps when you add the oats as it isn't just mince and oats.
poppyoscar - It would be fun to watch Treacle have a mad moment if she wasn't so destructive!! Have to love them though and she looks so young when she is being a devil.
Welcome home scuzz and good luck with all those emails!

    Have a great afternoon everyone!

    Afternoon peeps,

Welcome SassyMoneySaver - this is a great place for you to be, very friendly and very addictive :D

Blairweech - How much mince did you use with the oats?

Scuzz - what a great opportunity for you ( is there a green with envy smilie)

I`m seriously considering an hour on the sofa as i`m whacked, i`ve been home about an hour and as soon as i came in i put half a shoulder of lamb in the remoska, it is cooked to perfection so i`m really pleased as i wasn`t sure how long it would take. It was a good bargain too as it only cost £2.99 from the local market. I shall start shopping there more often, we used to go ages ago but there had been a big row over rent charged to the stall holders and a lot of them left, the ones that remained ended up with prices comparable to the supermarkets but that seems to have been resolved so i may have been missing out for some time.

I shall turn the lamb over to the food processor later when it`s cooled and make lovely garlic pitta lamb kebabs with salad, DH is missing out as he is away until tomorrow night so if he gets home early enough there just might be a tiny bit left if i can keep my paws off it :D

I fancy something sweet so i`m off to raid the cupboards :D

    Catch up later

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

had a great day out at aberdeen doing the jdrf walk to cure sponsered walk, we managed to raise £307 and dh's work are going to match that, so am quite pleased with the amount raised, there was a total of £220,000 raised from everyones sponsers at the event which is a fantastic amount.

Will be putting some pics on facebook tonight, the walk was very muddy but the weather stayed dry for it.

Saw the dress i loved in debenhams yesterday, but need to lose a few lb's to get a better fit, didnt buy it then but did buy it last night online, cost £115 but it is gorgeous, it is an amy jersey maxi dress from coast, crash diet i think this week lol

got a dinner dance on saturday, hmm need to lose loads by then i think!

    hugs

  • Hi Guys!

Am feeling rough today but managed to get out yesterday to a picnic for a couple of hrs, so very pleased about that. There were about 25 of us, so they all had fun pushing me in the wheelchair....I have bruises on my bum where it was so bumpy...lol! I was gutted as they were playing rounders which is my favourite sport and could only watch...nevermind. Am glad I got out though and caught up with loads of friends.

3 washloads done with the weather being nice. OH did a lovely roast lamb chop meal this afternoon.

Have alot of hospital visits this week, so a busy week.

I am speaking to my helper tomorrow about everything so will let you know what happens. Hopefully we can work it out as I dont want the grief of finding new help if I can help it.

OH has done some gardening and we used up a swede and carrots for dinner today. DD did the car too.

Anyway, OH has just done some spotted !!!!!! and custard, so gonna go scoff it.

    Hugs to all.
