IF down the line you do plan to buy a house the sad thing about mortgage credit checks is that they value the ability to pay off credit responsibly so it might be worth having a couple of credit cards you pay off on time and in full religiously so you have a payment history - a mortgage is a huge loan so responsible use of credit is assessed.

Hi,
Oh yes i still use my credit card all the time...my Asda one mainly as i get cashback on it everywhere i shop and money off petrol with it. So i buy only with my credit card. Then like you said the end of every month i pay it off in full.I also have my contract phone direct debits that come out, so that will also be active on my credit history too. And another credit card that my ebay fees come off.

Morning,
Ive got tones of things i need to go today before the start of the new year. First of all is de-clutter my bedroom as i didnt do it the other day, i will be making 3 piles
1. Charity shop
2. Ebay
3. The bin!
I need to change the whole bedroom around as my parents house is old and damp every year my bedrooms outside walls get covered in mould as the front of the house where my room is never gets the sun. It really effects my asthma badly, my mum cleans it off for me every weekend but by the next its there again. My massive wardrobe is on one of the outside walls which doesnt help as the air cant get round the back of it properly resulting in thick mould behind it! So i will be moving my whole bedroom around today.
Ive decided to sell 2 of my christmas presents that werent very good, a CD that i will copy first;) there was only 2 good tunes on there! And a Wii game that was pants....i choose both aswell!
I saw play are letting you sell 10 things for free, ive never sold anthing with them before, but i will give it a go anythings better than ebay.
Ive also just signed up for Blockbusters free trail so should have another £8 CB tracking next week.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Right, well ive spent all day sorting my bedroom and hardly made any progress! Ive sorted through all the cupboards and under my bed chucking away rubbish and sorting paper and card for recycling. But thats as far as ive got! The room will be moved arund 2moz with help from my OH!
I was looking at my tv and well was thinking about buying a new one! As its a huge old thing and the colour has gone wrong anything green shows brown and its awful to watch plus very heavy on my chest of drawers. I was having a look and can get a sony 32" LCD tv with HD ready and freeview for just £309 delivered. Ive still got half the money OH gave me for christmas so i would need to pay £250 out of my own money. Also we will need a TV for when we move out! I dunno what to do, £250 is alot to take out instead of putting in savings. I must decide tonight as that price is with a code for £25 that ends tonight.
I have got £100 in amazon vouchers but the LCD's are still expensive on there.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Right come to a decision already....im not buying it! Im going to put up with old brown one until i have filled the rest of my ISA up THEN have another think about getting a new TV.
As its the end of the year i best total up free things in 2008:
Competition wins £615
Vouchers £472.50
And best of all i became debt free in 2008 and i will hopefully stay that way until i have a mortgage!:D
Hopefully 2009 will bring me some lovely wins! Fingers crossed!I cant believe how many vouchers i made this year!
