Good luck with filling your ISA Jen, hopefully 2009 will bring us lots of money making ways online and we can smash our targets!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
I cant believe how fast the day has gone today!
Im not sure what i spent the day doing either! Lol!
Me and OH fixed his climate control lights, the bulb had gone but it was so tricky and time consuming getting the panel to come off!
Then we moved onto my car, the dials on speedo dont light up anymore...again probably a bulb gone. It took us so long to get the speedo off it was dark outside so had to give up. We'll fix that 2moz hopefully its only one bulb that lights all the dials up. Should only cost a few quid for new bulb.
Ive started the £10 a day challenge to help me get the £1500 i need by March. Ive been racking my brains thinking of how i can make some extra money.
Anyway, Ive made a good start to the year by transferring £100 of my wages into ISA.:D

Evening all,
Oh and i had another look at the dials in speedo, we changed the bulbs but that didnt fix it. It looks like the circuitboard on back of speedo is fried. So i have 2 options send mine away to be repaired or buy 2nd hand off ebay. There's one on ebay at £10 no bids and has 66,000 on the clock. Mine has 63,000 on the clocks so i would have to wait until ive done 66,000 until i can replace it which could take months as i dont do much mileage.
So not sure how much this will cost me yet. Its not an MOT fail but obviously its not good driving in the dark with no speedo lit up! Ive had a little torch stuck on dash lighting it.
Good news is that i did a compare search on my car insurance which runs out in Feb last year it cost me £500 with Tesco who i have been with 5 years now. Ive found a quote for £243 with Halifax!! Thats with £30 CB from quidco. So thats half the price!First i will see how much Tesco are willing to renew it for.
So i reckon now thats half price i could afford the LCD TV and fill up my ISA! Theres a 32" Toshiba LCD TV on Amazon i could get for £260 if i use my £90 saved amazon vouchers! Plus £50 of the money OH gave me so i would only need £210 of my own money.:D I cant put up with my old tv much longer, everything being brown is awful!!:rotfl:
I havent made much for my £10 a day yet. Quidco paid me 6p today!:rotfl:Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Morning,
Its freezing here today!! I cant believe how fast my week off work has been, back to work on Monday.
Postie just brought me my 2 dvd's from blockbuster free trial. Hancock and Kung Fu Panda. So thats this evening planned out for me, at least i dont need to leave the house in the cold!
My plan for the day is to get OH more Cashback deals, today im doing paddypower for him so he can bet on the football. Then Blockbuster for him too.
Ive opened up a playtrade account now so will list some bits on there in a moment.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Both good filmsNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

Well ive watched Hancock, im glad i rented it it was quite a good watch.
I did OH's Paddypower bets through CBK's £10 of his money on West Ham winning as thats his team and they won so got back the £10 plus £5 extra. But his free £20 bet lost which he bet on Newcastle winning but it was a draw. But never mind his £30 in profit now as long as it tracks on CBK's it took a day to track when i did mine.Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Im on a high!!
Ive just saved OH some more money! I worked out his mobile contract is in its last month, just been online and you can now upgrade and change monthly payments online.
He was on £35 a month 500 min and 500 texts with a n95 and NO 02 to 02 mins!!, Ive now changed him to £15 a month with 200 mins and 400 texts plus unlimited 02 to 02 calls which is all he needs as im 02 and so is his parents and best mate and thats all who he calls so perfect!
Plus he gets a new N95 black for £95. But it works out as free as Envirophone will give him £90 for his old n95 silver plus quidco cashback. So free really!
So he was paying £420 a year his now paying £180 a year! Less than half!
I love saving him money more than myself! I cant wait till my contract ends Feb so i can swap to the same and have huge savings too. Im on £35 a month too but i do get 02 to 02 calls free.
sorry i will shut up now!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Evening,
Just a quickie to say today I joined Football pools through quidco for the £15 cashback, although i wagered £5 to get the £15 free bets. So i will make £10 profit on that. Its tracked already!Ive placed all my £20 worth of bets, they end next weekend. But you have to get 10 out of 15 bets correct to win so doubt i have predicted the games correctly.
I put a ticket in for sunbingo on WPT as it hasnt tracked yet.

Hi Maria and Happy New Year!
Sorry to hear things aren't going well with your dad, but hopefully now your OH is going to be saving soon it won't be long til you are free in your own house.
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway.
Just wanted to say that due to reading your diary I have felt inspired to start one now as well and already i'm finding it kinda therapeutic to write stuff down so thanks for that!
I don't think i'll be debt free any time soon, but certainly hoping to knock a bit off this year.
I was also wondering if you would mind pm'ing me the sites you use to earn your vouchers when you have a spare five mins? If there are any referal links or anything that work in your favour i'll use them too?
I am already with TNS and Valued Opinions but wondered if you know any other good ones I can try (beyond the obvious luncheon voucher one that I can't get into lol).
Thank you2010 Debt Mission - Clear Credit Card £193 - Gonna start small and give myself some hope of actually doing it... :rotfl:

Hiya,
If you use TopCashBack then sign up to the Lightspeed panel, you get £1 (I think?) from topcashback just for signing up to it
There is also GlobalTestMarket, you need 1000 points to get a cheque, depends on the exchange rate for how much you get but it was about £26 I think for me? You get alot of surveys from them too!0
