    Hey all,

Ive done my Dooyoo review for the day. I think i will stick to 1 per day in the week and 2 a day a weekends.

My wid-wife just called me! i was quite shocked as i havent even been to the doctors yet, my doctors appointment isnt until this wednesday, but when i called the doctors to book the appointment i told them i was pregnant as wasnt sure who i booked the appointment with so they must of passed my details on to the mid-wife.
She is coming to my house to see me on the 9th Nov. I didnt think she would come to my house on the first appointment so now im panicing as my dog is a nutter when people come to the house!!! he would be all over her, if i shut him away he would bark his head off wanting to see her. I thought the mid wife would only be coming to the house once im heavy pregnant by that time i wont be living here with the dog. If my mum was at home she could take the dog out for a walk when she comes but my mum looks after my nephews at there house.
Oh well i will sort something out.

I also told him manager today as we were at the bar chatting and he was in a good mood and on his own so i thought i better tell him now. Espically in my line of work as he needs to do risk assisment etc. He seemed to be ok with it although i dont think his ever had to give SMP to anyone before. I didnt mention SMP to him i will do that at a later date!

  • Hi Maria. How's the pregnancy going? Thats a surprise the mid-wife calling and coming round to your house, i haven't heard of the first appointment being at the home, always thought it would be at the doctors. Is there anybody else who could take the dog out whilst the mid-wife is round?

SMP comes from the Government doesn't it? so he won't have to pay anything will he?

Well done on the vouchers, you will have lots of vouchers for bits for the new house or baby.

    xx

    Hey hun,

Yeah all seems to be going well, just sore boobs! I may have to go bra shopping this week as my bras are getting very tight!

I have just read what you mentioned about the government pay SMP, it said they get it back through there national insurance or something? So yeah they shouldnt need to worry should they.

Im on a baby forum and there are few other people have the mid wives coming to there houses but most have to go to the GP's or hosiptals.
My dad has said if my mum cant swap her days to look after my nephews then he will take the day off to keep the dog out of the way.

  • That's really nice of your dad, least now you won't have to worry about the dog going mad. Your dog is a staff isn't it?

I have 3 women at work who are pregnant at the moment, all the things we chat about, it's kinda putting me off having children, sounds scary. I won't mention anything chick, it will scare you like it has me. Having 3 big bumps around work did make me broody to begin with, but now they are all in their last 2 months reality is setting in that its going to have to come out soon. Have you got a bump yet?

    Evening,

My shopandscan points just came though for the webview thing im doing so i was able to order a £10 Argos voucher. :)

I had the doctors today for my booking in appointment, he gave a a tone of books, leaflets and paperwork to look through. Including tones of freebie vouchers! 2 different pack of allsorts from Argos, a newborn kit pack from Asda. :D
He also had a feel of my tummy to see if he could feel anything yet but couldnt as he expected. Then gave me a blood test and urine form, which i have to go and have done around the 6th of november.:confused:I hate blood tests!!! Well again its more the waiting the waiting room that bothers me than the needle!

I wanted to tell my boss about the midwife appointment coming up to ask about getting paid for it, as it says on the net and my contract book that they pay me for those kind of appointments. But he was in a major foul mood today everyone was staying well out of his way, his got the morning off tommorow so i may go and ask his mum (one of the office staff) about it as she deals with the wages anyway.

  • You are doing well with the vouchers hun, your voucher fund is soon adding up.

Re the appointments, they can't stop you attending your midwife appointments and have to still pay you if they are in work time. I know so much just from working with 3 female colleagues who are all pregnant. Anything else you are not sure about let me know, i'll probably know lol.

You will soon have lots of vouchers to buy baby things with.

Bet you will be really excited when you have your first scan. I saw my friend for the first time in two months at the weekend and her bump has grown loads, hers is due in Feb.
