Hi No I did not get swindled I am at the age when I no longer have need for a buggy, unless I was buying for my grandchildren :cheesy:

Although I had already read about this seller in the ebay Answer Centre,

    http://answercentre.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa?threadID=900060089&forumID=8016&start=0

I stumbled across this thread while trying to find another buggy related item that I had read.

Seeing the request for someone to message the other ebay buyers and having an unhealthy interest in ebay related problems, I used to be a regular responder in the ebay Answer Centre under another ID, I felt that I could help albeit in a small way.

I hope that all the buyers are able to get a full refund not just those who funded their payment through paypal as an ebay buyer, for the buyers who bought off ebay and used their Credit Cards believe that they do stand a good chance that their issuer will be able to obtain their money back and if the Debit Cards were VISA there is also a possibility that the issuer will help, although I dont think it is 100% guaranteed.

Reading through some of the previous posts paypal has implied that any disputes opened since the new policy, even if items were purchased before that date will be given a full refund

Do you know if anyone who purchased before the 30th September and opened a paypal dispute which was escalated to a claim since then (depending on when the new policy was implemented as Paypal state 30th ebay state 7th OCtober ) has been given a full refund? (over the £150 shown on the listing)
  • We now have 31 scammed people on my list alone.........its growing everyday too and this would not have happened without everyones interest and hard work-i hope this brings some comfort to those scammed...you are not alone!

when we say "scammed" is that 31 people who are still waiting for a full refund from paypal ? Or have some of these people been fortunate enough to get a refund before he bolted.
  • So have people actually gotten their money back through Paypal? What are my chances? Paid for the item (£99) on Sep 23rd and escalated to a dispute with Paypal on Oct 15th. Do Paypal hold the money for a certain time before they release it to the seller?
  • no....31 scammed with no refund.

For us today is the tenth day, Like many I expect, that paypal have given Discount buggies to respond. After this day I am under the impression you find out whether you get any money or not! So you will need to wait till 25th for the ten days.
