If you escalated your claim to a full chargeback on the 9th then your 10 days are up (according to the way paypal do it) on Sunday the 19th, you should therefore get an update on Monday morning. I think most peoples chargebacks went in on the 8th, which means they should get to their 10 days tomorrow so hopefully get a response from paypal Sunday.

Incidentally it is the date and time of the chargeback that counts, a basic dispute does not retain funds in paypal nor does it start any process against the seller.

Hi again, I also emailed him from an alternative email address two days ago, pretending I was interested in a mid-priced buggy, and saying that I couldn't seem to pay via Google, so could he please advise how best to pay e.g could I pay over phone with credit card or post a cheque? I've not had a reply though, so i'm guessing he's scarpered somewhere. (Mind you, if he's reading this thread, he'll know not to bother replying! lol )

I recieved Rainman's email but I have already told you all I had via Paypal . I hope someone else can help you.
I don't think he does have kids as they are all really cheap items he bought he bought 1 hub cap for a wheel off me. I even emailed him to check that he only wanted 1!
He has just done it to build up some feedback :mad:

Just read Pilchards Message a few pages back, the item never came back so I can only assume it was delivered.

Hi guys, I have just spoken to Paypal and they told me that we will know the outcome on Monday as today is the last day the seller has to respond to us (people who filed a dispute/claim on the 8th Oct) and then they give extra 24hrs to make sure that they haven't received anything. If the seller won't contact them we will get our money back. Once again I was assured that we should get the whole amount back - even if we placed the order in September and the protection amount was only £150 (who those of you who paid more than £150).

my 10 days are up today too,so im just waiting for a response from paypal.can i just say a big THANK YOU to everyone who is working so hard to contact people who have been scammed and pushing people to contact the police.even if we get no money back its heartening to know that we are all pulling together on this.WELL DONE EVERYONE!

Well this is what they told me on 2 separate occasions as well . So we will just have to wait and see :rolleyes:

I can confirm that of the 11 PURCHASES this scammer made on ebay 4 of his sellers have let me know the details of where the goods were sent to. Surprise surprise this might sound familiar

These are the details from his paypal account and the address is CONFIRMED.
I did notice that many of the purchases were very low value, it appears he has done this to build up some feedback before the scam operation. The police must know details about this guy because to set up a company on the net with credit card facilities surely there must be some kind of KYC (know your customer) checks done as there is on paypal. Someone must have lived at that address recently or rented it, there must be something for the police to go on (bank account details etc). I think the net is closing in on this fraudster, I hope you all get refunded sucessfully from paypal.
