Also these companies are part of the long list: Source Marketing Direct with Hector Montalvo, Live Marketing Direct with Tom Harris and Galaxy Marketing with Warren Roach. They're under Ea Worldwide Acquisitions, run by Josh Cote. They're all based in London bridge. Door to door 100% commission.
• Went for the second interview yesterday.. Had me sales canvassing all day up in a small village outside of Colne (bout 30 miles north of manchester). They didnt make it clear in the first interview that it was sales canvassing but did feed me this story about how in 11 months you can start up your own company. Soon as they dropped me off I knew it wasnt right but was too far to ditch them as I had no way back. Didnt get back till 10.00, at which time they wanted me to take an additional exam.. Just said thanks but no thanks as they'd taken up enough of my time.

However, I kept hold of a Direct Debit form they were using to try sign people up to donating to the "Red Cross". Im clueless about the law but if anyone thinks the police might like a good look at it let me know and Il get down the cop shop and show em. One thing I did notice was that the name of the company on the sheet wasnt oracle advertising.. instead it was Support Direct. Just confusing me further but just want to get a point across not to go for any interview with them.
• The guy in charge of Oracle Advertising was called "Ali Mir" by the way

I worked for Platinum Force LTD, (Liverpool) I worked there for 3months it’s a major cult and you get sucked into it very very quickly,

Platinum Force, P & D Marketing Ltd, Coulson, Arcadia and many others are all under the Cobra name.

Your normal day starts off at 11a.m and finishes around 11p.m/11.30pm only two of them hours you’re in the office and even then you’re cramped into a tiny room with about 25/30 sweaty people, Practicing your lines and smiles etc and then you have a daily team meeting where you congratulate the highest sellers of the previous day by high fiving and ringing the bell – what a load of bull.

For the first week and a half you don’t get paid and you have to fork out your travel and food costs which could cost up to £30 a week.
Once you get your wages (all depends on if you have sold something) they take 10% for 'Security Bonds' if the customer cancels basically your back is covered. You don’t get holidays, You are self employed and work Saturdays till 3.
Help me!

They have one of these offices in Birmingham – I know I too went for a job there many years ago!!

I went through the interview and the form filling etc the on in brum had a slightly different angle on keeping you hooked though – while the guy got to the end of the interview he would ask if you would mind waiting 5 minutes while he had a quick chat with a colleague as he thinks you are too good to let walk out the office and he thinks there may be a spot on the training day if you are free (usually the following day or the day after).
Obviously, you will be free (and they know this!) so you get really excited and hoping that there is a free spot!
the following day you traipse all over the place, knocking on peoples doors asking them to sponsor/donate/whatever!!!

When I spent my day with them I knew after 10 minutes I didn’t want the job but couldn’t do anything about it as we had driven 30 miles away!!!!
When we got back to the office I then had to wait 15 minutes while all those who got a sale rang a bell ( ) and they then introduced me to the ‘team’ – I pretended to be really excited about working with a bunch of morons!!!
The following evening I took great delight in telling them where they could stick their !!!!py commission only door to door job as I had got a proper job offer :D

Luckily I have never been unemployed for more than a couple of days but can see why some people would get sucked into it if they have been unemployed for a while and they stay sucked into it as you don’t get time to look for other jobs or go to interviews because of the hours you are expected to work!
• Yeah they have the same surnames since they marry each other to keep themselves brainwashed and also as motivations for the team. Warren Roach that owns Galaxy Marketing has been with lots of girls there. Josh Cote is married to Sara Beth Cote EA Worldwide Acquisitions, Hector Montalvo that owns Source Marketing is married to someone from there too. Tom Harris that owns Live Marketing is the new manager and his role is to spend "time" with the admin girls Casy Wilson and Courtney Sagar to keep them motivated. They always do the same there. You cant even call that a company. EA WORLD ACQUISITIONS SCAM LIVE MARKETING SCAM GALAXY MARKETING SCAM SOURCE MARKETING SCAM LONDON MARKETING SERVICES SCAM. DOOR 2 DOOR ONLY COMMISSION NO SALARY SCAM SCAM
• This post is a bit long but useful!
EA Worldwide Acquisitions, Live Marketing Direct, JPK Advertising, CO&CO Marketing, Galaxy Marketing, Aspire, Source Marketing Direct...

All these companies have their own pitch for the interviews, like they do when they knock on doors. I know someone who worked there for a while and this is what they say during the first part of the interview to make sure you stay:

The walk to the station is a critical part set up, if done correctly you will stay in control, answer any questions and pre empt issues that may occur through the day (this way we will bring the interviews back to the office)

What we do - “Today im going to show you the entry level position of our direct sales and marketing company. This is not glamorous but it is the basics that people must understand before they can progress in our company. We are doing a community awareness program.
It is our job to speak to as many people as possible and if they are excited we will sign them up to donate. Simple right?”

Where we go - “The program will be out in [area] and we will be travelling out, so do you have a travel card?”

The day - “I have a structure for the day, this is to ensure that I explain the company correctly to you. First, while we get there, i will give you a background of the company why we are growing so fast and go into more detail about today. When we arrive I will be working with customers and we will talk about types of marketing. We will take a break for lunch around 4 pm when I will explain the company’s training program, the promotions and how the pay works (we DO NOT talk about salary). So if you have any questions, write it all down. I expect you to ask me lots of questions.
If you have what we are looking for, I will prepare you for a questionnaire which will be based on what you see today. Based on that and from what I see of you today, it will be decided if you get into the third round interview with my manager or not. I cannot guarantee you will get in but I can definitely deny you one based on what I see today.
We DO NOT tell them what we do before we take the train or they will leave, we want them to stay.
What we are looking for:
• Positive attitude,
• Quality and quantity of questions
• Student mentality, we need people that take lots of notes and can learn net things.

Team: its really important we work as a team today. It’s my job to separate you from the rest of the people that were in the lobby (we become their friend and make them fight).

Pre-empt : Do you smoke? I know you wouldn’t do this but in the past I had people light up a cigarette while I was working with customers. Obviously I had to terminate the interview there due to lack of professionalism. Im going to put my phone in silence, are you expecting any important calls today? Great if you could do the same, again im sure this wont happen today but in the past I had peoples phones ring while working with customers which didnt look very professional. And do you have any hot dates tonight? No great! me either, we will need you till around 9 tonight but the advantage of that is we will let u know tonight if you get the position. (So they won’t complain about being back to the office late)

Anyway, we are going to have a great day today! (make them relax)

• Once on the train, we have 2 goals:
- Explain why Direct Marketing/Sales is so effective.
- Why we are growing so fast and where the interview could fit in.

Little background of the company.
The reason for our growth is because of our massive clients. Eg, Talk Talk, Victoria Jackson, FIL. (They work with the 50 top charities in the UK such as RSPCA and red cross). They were so happy with the results last year that they doubled our budget this year.

That is why you are here today, we are not just looking for sales people, we are looking for people who can pick up the basic sales, help teach it to others, but more importantly manage teams of people and are clients. So its really important that you look at everything today from a managers perspective, managing 30 people not just as somebody doing the sales (they’ll forget about the field and dream about management).

What we will be doing today is a Community Awareness Program. It has two benefits for our clients.
1) Spread brand awareness
2) Acquire new donors

So, who do you think would donate 8.50 a month to our charity? (anybody). If you were the manager of the charity, where would you send me to find anybody? (Stations, High streets, keep going until they say, work and at home).
We have 3 main channels to find new customers: B2B, Events and Residential. We do the outside sales and go where our clients want us to go. The most effective is Residential which gives 95% coverage of an area and gets the whole community involved. This is what we’re doing today.

Have you heard of the Law of Averages? Out of the 100 people I speak to today, how many do you think would be interested to sign up? Just 3-5% is all we look for, 1 in 33 (this way it seems easier). The more people I speak to, the more likely I am to find a yes. That means out of 100 people 97 will say no. Why do you think..? (Get them to bring up all the common negatives we have in the field, at least 6+). It is ok because we are just looking for genuine positive people who want to help our charity. If it’s just me signing 3 people is not that good but by the end of the year we plan to have 500 reps doing sales for our charities (always keep the same number even if we grow).

500x3= 1500 sales/day
1,500x5 = 7,500 sales/week
7,500x4 = 30,000 sales/month
30,000x8.50 = 255,000 from 1 month of donations(everybody is signing up for 12 months)
255,000x12 = 3 million pounds for 1month.
12months x3 million = 36 million pounds

(All the time you ask day of observation would you be excited to work with us in the middle of the recession with this type of results)

Finish by saying: “We still do not have enough managers to run 500 reps yet and thats the reason why we are interviewing people such as yourself because we need a bigger management team to help us get there”

Thanks to this thread i managed to stop my brother wasting his day / week, as he applied for one of these jobs and was immediately offered an interview.

It broke his heart when i said they were dodgy, it was his first interview in almost 9 months and now his confidence has taken a knock.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!
