  • I received an email today from a company called 'Corsica Marketing' in highgate, london offering me an interview on monday. The email didn't ask me to respond to confirm i was avaialble. I didn't even apply for a job with this company. i rang to speak to the guy who emailed me, a 'Jonathan Mattei' who sadly wasn't available. I think i'll give it a miss. I would have went only for the fact that when i typed the company name into google, it suggested 'Corsica Marketing Scams' and eventually to here.
  • I feel like the bigest idiot in the world right now.
I went on a interview with one of this companies, and I got to the 2nd interview... and whatever, if you read all the post I would just repeat pe bullcrap story. I actually believed I could make some good part-time money with this, but its exausthing. In my day of training I wasn't even allowed to take 5 mins fag breaks. It involves walking around for ages, with no protection whatsoever... someone actually said on this forum that they were stabbed.
Good thing is that I didn't pay for transport, nor lunch, and that I learned my lesson. My only conceirn is that I signed a contract with this people, but as I recall, it doesen't tie me to the in any way, does it? I read it and it was a bunch of crap about how they can avoid lawsuit if anything ever happens to me...
  • Thank you all so much for writing about your experiences, i was going to have an interview with P&D Marketing this thursday! definitely not going now. the e-mail i got was a carbon copy of the ones posted here. so disappointed, really need a job, these people should be arrested.

  • HI ALL! I have an interview with Arcedia tommorow. I am on a Gap Year and am waiting until October to start University. Even though it has negatives I am willing to give it a shot just to get me out of the house and doing something. However i dont want to be bound by a contract so i was wondering how long the Arcedia contract is? or how and when you can leave?? thanks alot, Tom.

Ps. Ill be knocking at your doors soon selling you energy hahaha

GET AS FAR AWAY FROM ARCEDIA AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN!!!! I worked for them.. for about 5 weeks and just couldn't take it anymore so i didn't turn up again. We started at 11am and I didn't get home till 11pm.. living only half an hour from the office. They don't actually tell you it's extremely hard to get anywhere.. and the one thing I hated was that you could be in someones house changing their gas + elec and no-one would even come to see where you were.. you could be dead in their living room for all anyone knows and no-one seems to care... By the way.. which office will you be going to? I worked in the cardiff one and i'd rather shoot myself then to work for them again.
  • I'm soo glad I found this forum. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to it.

I had an interview with JTM solutions tomorrow. What a load of !!!!!!!!.

This is the reply I sent them:

    Dear Natasha,

Unfortunately I will not be attending the interview we have scheduled for tomorrow at 2.P.M.

After researching your company thoroughly this evening, I have come across a forum which has caused me to feel nothing but angry and upset. Exact replicas of the e-mail you sent me yesterday are pasted in the forum which speaks of nothing but scams from false and dodgy "marketing companies" such as yourselves.

I, however, will not be taken for a fool, and am glad that I have escaped this sleazy excuse for a business opportunity.

I wish you all the best in the future and hope you find ultimate fulfillment in a career that is nothing but deceiving, insensitive and cruel.

    Miss Thacker.

My boyfriend said it was a little harsh, but what's she gonna do, go to the police?

"I'd like to report someone! They have been honest with me, stuck up for themself and discovered the scam I work for!"

    !!!!!!!!s.

I, along with many of you, also had the misfortune of bumping into these fools.

I had recently lost me job and I was desperate to get any kind of job, I was on the dole and it was getting on me tits being unemployed. I had a young daughter, and being a single father I was barely getting by. So I thought any job would do, and I came across some Marketing add on some website. I applied, and within 24 hours I was hired. Bit dodgy, lol. They were called something-something-Marketing [I later learned they were under Cobra].

Still, I went through training the first week, and I saw through their BS. I'm only 25, and I was one of the older heads in that office and that was another red flag. Most of them were 19-24. I spent the first week in the "field" in some dodgy council estate in Leicester selling Sky Packages to gullible elderly ladies and young naive couples. £30 for a sale, and £50 for HD. !!!!!!!! to that for a laugh.

In the morning, we arrived at 10am, loud music in the office as if it was a nightclub. Had dodgy silly team meetings and conference calls. Practised our pitches and high fiving one another over some bullcrap. By 1pm, we left to our "field" and by 2pm we were bang in the middle of a council estate knocking on people's doors - a shower of rain and snow hammering down on us whilst door after door is being slammed right on our faces. We [me and the girl who was training me] managed to do 2 sales that day, by 9pm we went back to the office, did some paperwork and off we went home. I didn't get back in home before midnight.

And tomorrow was another day like that. And it went on and on and on. Nobody was allowed to show any negativity. Everyone was forced to put some fake smile and nods so much that you gave yourself repetitive strain disorder.

Eventually, after 5 days and I was about to get my badge, I said !!!! this - my daughter hadn't seen me properly in several days due to this !!!!!! working hours job which is practically one step away from slavery. Crap pay, Crap working hours, Crap fake atmosphere and fake smiles and highfives all around.

Oh. My. God. I love it! At least you were honest, because believe me you don't even want to waste your time with companies like them.
