  • Why can I not post something that I believe may be good news
    You can.

But instead you're posting this sort of garbage.

Can we talk about house prices now?

Much more interesting. Or have I got the wrong forum?

That's the problem though - there has been so much personal bickering here that the actual subject of the board has been ignored or at least obscured (which I suspect is the motive of some).

I think it's worth making the effort to stop the endless fighting and I've already started to populate my ignore list to avoid the temptation to respond to barbs.

We will see soon enough who is serious about behaving sensibly and who isn't. It's my guess that the real wreckers won't be able to contain themselves but it'll be pretty damn obvious if they do 'break cover' and there will be a fair bit of peer pressure on people to behave themselves.

I do absolutely agree that the aim of some - not all - is to obscure discussion.

Some just like the sound of their own voices and find house prices dull.

Anyway - enough on the subject from me - I prefer talking about house prices myself.

If you practised what you have just said good discussion would ensue, unlike when you start to throw your normal abuse against anyone who does not have your extreme views.

I don't find CaroleT's views extreme in any way. Unlike your views on society which you occasionally let slip, which are extreme in the..er..extreme.

Some people just seem to to attract trouble. It's funny how they always claim that everyone else is the problem.

I'm not sure whether you troll or do genuinely have a bit of a problem.
I've been involved in loads of argumentative debates on MSE in my time without any long term ill effects.
