Given the choice I'll take the fresh, rancourous debate to found here rather than the insipid pointless stuff over on debt free wannabee, which seems to be a group hug therapy drop in centre, which solves nothing.
Luv ya babes
Hugs x hugs
Hang in there babes, you tell him tonight what a brute he is xxx0 -
One man's abuse is another man's humour, or fun, or banter, or sometimes a richly deserved personal attack. In terms of policing this board I think a great improvement would be limit all posters to say ten posts a day. This would be easy to implement, would cut down on seeing the same person again and again, and might also make us more aware of value of the precious ten posts a day we are crafting.
For my own part I have found the power of the Thanks button to work in greatly toning down my act, because I am sad that way!0 -

But glad to have a consructive comment off you (not a dig). Thanks0 -
If I'd just purchased a property, I suspect I'd have better things to do with my time
. Apparently DIY is the only sensible way out for those who have bought recently.
I'm tending to avoid all threads where jp has started this sort of argument. There was even one where it was going swimmingly and jp interrupted to say that this was the only thread that had been going swimmingly  which promptly deflected any relevant discussion.
But perhaps that was the intention?
I was quite happy to live with jp, and even welcomed him/her back, but now I just want to run a mile from any thread where (s)he's involved.
I shan't be contributing to any garbage like this in future - but if similar threads are started, you know what I think.0 -

Any thread on which there is an argument you can be sure jpurchased is on it bleating about other people persecuting him. He's on here 24/7 stirring things up and now he's resorting to starting his own threads to get even more attention. If he really did buy a house recently you'd think he'd have better things to do0 -
I dont reply to annoying people, but theres only a couple here imo so its not a huge problem. Just ignore em if they try to wind you up.0

The one where I was joining in the discussion and just made an observation.
Perhaps I should have said £50 as I would have been embraced!
I realy hope you are joking.0 -
This is what you do.
Invite people back to your endless / pointless games.
I'm not joking.
You waste my time, and yours.
Over and out.0 -

Do you not see endless posts of houses to fall 30% 40% 50% and everyone going I agree!
Then starting a new thread on exactly the same news story 5 mins later winds me up. But I let most people get on with it!
Why can I not post something that I believe may be good news or is it detracting from the perceived greater good.
Some people are good at arguing against possible positive news, I like to learn!
Sorry if I do not go along with everything you want!0 -
Can we talk about house prices now?
Much more interesting. Or have I got the wrong forum?0
