I think in a case like this it is better to speak to an advisor who can see all the information in front of them to hopefully give you an informed answer. Best of luck.

I have sent my query to BG via the online messaging system related to the Click 5 product and my account. They say they will respond within 5 days.

At the moment the 'Computer say NO' . :D . It did cost £550m but then again Mr.Bentley came on Watchdog and said it wasn't working properly. If I am right, he can have my old calculator for nothing. :rotfl:
  • £550 million????? So much for the argument about the old nationalised energy industry leaking cash. Remember, BG is just one of the BIG 6. Have they all spent so much on an apparently flawed computer system? The bill for that would come to £3 billion+. Who's paying for that, I wonder? Answers on a postcard, please....

HAVE YOU SEEN QUENTIN'S CASHBACK CARD??
  • I'm still having a problem getting anywhere near to paulonline123s %tage difference between standard rate and Click 5. I'm getting approx 10% on gas and 20%+ on leccy, based on Backfoot's figures....Of course, I'm basing it on my region (Yorkshire) but I can't imagine the region making that much difference...

Today we received a further DD amendment for the electricty account. We were paying £20 p.m. under the standard tariff, until August 2008,when we switched to click 5. Early September a DD change came through for £25.Now still within the same month it has gone up to £35.

Are the BG people sure that the computer works? Coincidentally,I got a quick response to my online message this morning saying submit your latest meter readings. I've done that and will wait to see the bills.

Using the latest consumption as an update, a DD of £21 per month for electricity will be adequate and £30 for gas. They have upped the Gas DD to £45!!

 Completely baffling. Is the extra to pay for the pensions now the stock market is tumbling?

That will teach you to complain;)

The same computer(I assume) keeps generating letters suggesting I go on 'paperless billing' -for one of my 4 bills. I have been on paperless billing on all accounts for years.

When I on-line I tick the box to get paperless billing and in due course I get a box of energy saving bulbs. A few weeks later the cycle repeats and eventually another box of bulbs.

I suspect SwanJon and paulonline123 have traced the account and are going to really mess you about now!

No they are both too busy. One has taken the computer back to Dixon's under the warranty cos' it broke and didn't work proper anyway and the other borrowed my calculator as it's much more reliable.:p

Unfortunately,Dixons don't do that model anymore as it didn't have enough memory. The Store Manager said 'wha'ever'.:D
