Spoke to my AM on Thursday, got brochures on Friday. She said that as we live on a new housing estate our road is not on the territory system so I am safe to drop there. Only problem is there are only 6 houses being lived in at the moment!!!
Have been waiting since Friday for her to sort out my territory - thats a wasted weekend and 2 wasted days this week. Called 6 times yesterday (refused to accept an ansaphone!) and finally got through to be told she would email me with a territory before 9am this morning - no sign yet and she's still on ansaphone.
Getting pretty wound up now as I have filled in my contact details on 35 order forms, bought some resealable freezer bags (hope they don't get nicked!), and they are ready do drop when I know where I am going!!! Can't see any point in just dropping to 6 houses - I will never get £78 from 6 houses, eh? !!
(PS I know I am being impatient but all the other newbies on here seem to be doing so well!!!)
If I were you I'd get out and at least ask your 6 neighbours if they're interested and if they are, also ask them if they know of anyone else, who may be interested as well. (They qualify as 'Friends and Family'.)
Small point - assume you are leaving a message for your AM and not just waiting to catch them 'in'? I do suspect that some AMs and SLs permanently screen so unless you leave a message you may not hear from them for quite a while!!
Good luck.
PS: Good tip, if you're nearing MOV but not quite, order something for yourself. Will mean you get discount on the rest of your order and, of course, under the 90 day guarantee you can always send it back if you later decide you don't want it.Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Assume I'm not alone in this.....
The new bags we've been encouraged to buy to protect our books are absolutely useless in my experience.:mad::mad: Have lost count of the amount of books ruined because customers put them out in the rain, eroneously expecting these new bags to be sufficient protection.
Won't be buying any more f these bags but I honestly feel we should all be credited with the cost of these useless 'sales aids'! Anyone else feel the same?
Whilst in moaning mood, thanks Aureol for letting us know about the drop in agents' commission rates due to VAT returning to its original rate in the New Year but.... a question..... Yes, I see the logic that it's not cost-effective to amend brochure prices because of the increase but did agents actually get an increase in their commission when the VAT rate was reduced? If not, really don't think Avon are being fair expecting us to 'foot the bill'!!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Don't get me wrong, I am thoroughly enjoying doing Avon but occasionally I get the impression that at best Avon couldn't care less about their reps and at worst they try and rip us off. (Can't remember the exact details now but recently I noticed that an item in HT actually turned out to cost us more nett than when we sell it to a customer! What's the sense in that?)
OK, rant over.... :rolleyes:Make the most of everything in life (especially Avon)

Marsden - I also think the new bags are crap for the books because they do not seal. However have been using mine as small bags if customers order little bits of makeup. Might also use them when I do free gifts. As I've paid for them Im going to use them one way or another lol
(Sorry dont know how to do the quote thingy)0 -
Hi everyone,
MarsdenCuckoo - you rant away, that's fine by me. Can I also add that you are correct in saying that reps prices are sometimes more than items cost in the book. Case in point, I was 'lucky' enough to be emailed a couple of months back with a Christmas preview and was able to order items in advance which were to be delivered with my C16 order. I ordered the Hannah Montana watch, handbag and purse for my daughter (£10, £10 and £5 respectively). Well I received them and was undecided whether to give to DD for Xmas, but spotted that they are £10, £10 and £4 in the brochure. So effectively I am paying more for the purse than joe bloggs down the road. I know it's only a small amount, but it really bugs me that Avon don't consider this. Also the 30 deals in 30 days items are all the carp they couldn't shift from previous campaigns. How is that a bargain - I don't think offering beachwear in November is a bargain - sorry about that!!
Rant over from me
On topic (:rotfl:) I collected in some C17's today and got £78 of orders, so looks like I may well qualify for full PC status this year. Will be good if I can as makes the hard work worthwhile....just.....

Try wilkos or WHsmith. Think some Tesco's also do them. If you have Microsoft Works word processor they have a label function where you can select which labels you are using and helps you to write and print them. I use clear labels for my name etc on order forms and white ones for delivery dates etc to stick on each brochure.0

HI all, am hoping someone might be able to help, was meaning to order a 'hello kitty' bracelet and some hk socks for my friends daughter that i saw in the brochure a couple of campaigns ago, but now it doesn't seem to be in the book, have checked c16,17 and 18! I was assuming this was an ongoing product, it wasn't in clearance or anything, am I missing it somewhere? my friend was going to get it for her daughter but I offered to buy it for her for christmas and just assumed I wouldn't need to get it there and then...:oStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000
