just droped 50 brochures in my territory and have a quick question , ppart of my territory is shelter housing flats as i was approaching one house a home help came out and i had a little chat with her , turns out she has brochures 15-1 ? at home with an order across them all but the rep has never called back to collect them . she asked could i order it for her .

I said yes ( am I allowed to do that ?) but told her we can only back order to 16 is this right ? ( C17 order has to be in monday) and how would she have a C1 brochure already ?

oh and one more - do any of you have warrden controlled sheltered housing in your territory ? how do you deal with it ?

I've noticed people have been saying that orders from C17 have to be in by monday? My SL told me that my orders have to be in by 19th Nov, with delivery being on 25th Nov. I was given both C17 and C18 by my SL and so far have only given out my C17's, can I just clarify when the order has to be in by please?

I think it is differnt for different areas , not quiet sure how it works But your sl will kjnow the right info for you

Yeah everyone is allocated a mail plan. I am already on C18 and had my C17 order delivered yesterday! Check with your sales leader!

Hi Everyone

Well I'm not doing so well this time. I have been quite lazy this camp, I'm actually quite angry with myself :mad:

I have only done 1 book drop and have given a book to all existing customers. I have around 150 to deliver to and my order date is next friday.

Tonight will be a late night of preparing 30 books and posting them when I get home from work. I'll be doing this until around 8pm i think :mad: serves me right really.

I don't know what I have lost my motivation, because I had my best camp ever last time :think:

Also I was just wondering if anyone else had had a phone call from AVON regarding some sort of money maker. A scottish woman called me and aske me if I wanted perfume sets for £10 which I sell for fixed discount. I was really busy so just said yes to get her off the phone :rolleyes2 Anyway, my order arrived last week and it is LOADS of little roller bottle perfumes and 8 full size bottles of perfume. I think i'm being charged for it in C18. Has anyone else had this? What is the deal? I really should learn to pay more attention and not just accept things because i'm in a hurry. :wall:

Don't worry - the whole country is staggered slightly - my order doesn't have to be in until next Tuesday, but I have a rep whose order is due in today, whatever dates your SL has told you will be right don't worry. Double check with her about which brochures you can give out yet if you aren't sure, as some areas are already onto C18 so then you would be able to use both at the same time, if not your C18 books will be for your next campaign if that makes sense x

OH had this phone call too - we always tell them no lol - you do have to say it a few times but eventually they get the picture. The number usually shows up as withheld so I just ignore it now. But I don't get the phonecalls on my account as have only given them my mobile details and not the landline! For those you have - sell them at whatever price you want, so long as you at least make your money back then you're fine, but if you don't think your customers will buy them even with a good discount then just send them all back!

Thanks Lolly! Dropped to those 6 last night, pick up tomorrow night! Other half has hurt his foot, and was well grumpy that he couldn't come with me. Think he was hoping to have a good nose around the estate!!

Yes I did leave a message for my ASM in the morning, but called again at about 4:40 and kept trying until I got through! Have now got territory, its not where I was hoping but it is fairly close to home, and part of it is a new housing estate so never been touched! Going to drop tonight and pick up Saturday so fingers crossed.

When I went to our local garage last night, I asked the girl there if they see an avon book. She said yes, but the lady is on holiday at the moment. I said OK well I'll not bring a book then because we're not supposed to poach each others territory. Then she said that she was new to the shop but she had been looking for an avon lady for ages, and it turns out she lives right next to the garage?!! So I have dropped a book into her house this morning! Is that OK? Does that count as friends & family or what?

PS Thank you to all of you - there are some really brilliant tips on here. One more I thought of ..... was thinking of buying some perfume samples at 5 for 60p, and selling them at 15p each for people to try perfumes before the buy a big bottle. Can I do that?

Yes if she's asked for an avon book then you can give her a brochure - the only thing we can't do is just pop books through doors on territory that isn't our own & we don't know the people that live there! What you've done is fine!
Yeah you can try doing that with samples, or offer them for free, whatever you feel is best for yourself - with you being a new rep though, I would hold of on buying samples at the moment, as you will receive some anyway over your first 6 campaigns - no point spending out more than you have to at the moment!
