Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

hmmmm. need a little advice ladies....
had my delivery yesterday, going to deliver tonight...
1customer orderd a lipstick from campaign 16, on one of the pages offering a free gift with a purchase(a mascara)- clearly states you order the free vgift etc.
and another customer spent £10.50 on make up in c17, qualifying for the £5voucher+mascara... but again, it says to order it on order form and she never either...
i did order them when placing my order but im not sure what to do now...

i have included a note with next brochures about free gift over £20 but dont have anything to give yet and im really struggling with money...
i have 2 options.....
1)just give the free gifts to them and explain in future they need to use the order numbers for free gifts... (theyve either not noticed the offer or just didnt out number down)
2) keep hold of them and use them for incentives in future...

really not sure what to do....??

Kimbo - Personally I would put the free gift in their order and explain that you have done it this time and they need to write it down on their order form. This shows you in a good light and they will hopefully keep ordering coz you were sooooo honest

Of course if they miss it again keep it lol

No don't worry - perhaps for the clearance out of HT you might struggle as you sound like you are on a late mailplan, but for the main brochures you'll be fine, current products avon have a huge supply of, which is why people use their current & previous brochures at the same time to save money on books - as you can still order from the previous brochure and I've never had any problems with it, only the sale items have been a problem from time to time.

Got signed up tuesday and have 40 C18 books (won't be getting any free C1 books apparently as I have all the free ones now for the xmas push!) I've given out 4 so far to F+F and aim to give out 15 more and then start a drop in one road with the other books! I've read the threads beginning from october, sore eyes...... and will pm you Elliebee if thats ok for a leaflet idea for the drops. Seriously wondering if it's going to be worth the effort but time will tell.. I think I should order some C2 (sale?) books with my orderand not any C1's. What do you guys think?

Thats a bit cheeky of them - yes us SL are only refunded for 40 brochures in total, but we are meant to give out 20 for your first campaign, and 20 for the second campaign to give you a chance! Having said that - if you don't cover all of your territory this campaign, then in C1 you can use your C18 books (as it is the previous brochure so you can still order it from it) to cover any remaining houses with, saving you having to buy any more books and still giving you a chance of getting some orders in C1. But yeah I'd say just order C2 brochures when you put your order through.

Hiya peeps
I tried both last night as got 180 houses (first time at this) with 30 catalogues, so thought knock first, all i got was no's, after the 15th house, and one person wanting to look at one, started to get pi55ed off so, just put them through the doors, i found the men always opened the doors and said no, mind you they were polite. Picking up tomorrow, so i pray have couple of orders and they leave the books out. Finding it hard aswell as most of mine got big dark drives, so one house scared to go down !!!!

I don't think you'd get away with that one, although as the bag is free I'm not sure how they'd re-charge it (and you probably wouldn't mind if they did) :rotfl: Anyone brave enough to try it?

It works ok with the 'spend £xx and get xxx free' as Avon don't have a breakdown of your orders so don't know who has ordered what.

thank you lozza1985. i feel abit more happy now about giving out the books as i was worried i would get orders but nothing would be in stock!!

Hi,
This is my first post on here. I live in France and have just started doing Avon over here. It runs a bit differently here, in that you can sell to anyone, anywhere. You don't have a fixed territory. Insome ways this is easier as I am not restircted by area, but it does mean that I will have to get out and try and find customers in new ways.
I have only been given a few books to start off with and as my French isn't up to selling to French ladies yet, I have decided to target other English and try and get them to recommend friends by offering free gifts.
My first order was just a few bits for me and a couple of my friends which hopefully is being delivered today as I have just had a phone call about the delivery asking for directions to my house. Put me into a bit of a panic as I wasn't prepared. Hopefully, I have given them the correct directions. As I was just typing this, my delivery has just turned up! So excited about it. I am going to have to go now and unpack it all.
I will keep checking this forum regularly from now, just to get some tips about different ways to sell.
