  • Hi Everyone,

I'm really happy after all of last nights hard work. I managed to pick up £66 worth of orders and as customers haven't taken advantage of freebies I have managed to bag myself a couple of them. Also 1 customer ordered the leopard print scarf for £12 from C15, it's only £7 in C16 so I have saved myself £5 :j

Creative ordering is SO much fun.

KazLA - When I get my order I put all of the items in categories i.e. all make up together all bubble bath together and bag up the smaller orders 1st. Keeps it simple. I also check and double check the customers orders when I get them and if they have added up wrong or anything, I pop round and let them know, as they may no longer want the item if it costs more than they thought. :)

As for dropping to hairdressers etc, I haven't had the guts to do this yet and would also like to know how others go about doing this. I am near a very large high street with LOADS of salons that I would like to pitch to. I just need the courage and the kick up the bum to do it :p

    Hi,

    2. How do you go about taking brochures to hairdressers, doctors, libraries, etc? What do you initially say when taking the book, and how do you go about collecting the money/delivering the orders? I have 3 books spare this month and have given myself the challenge to try to give them to 3 new people. I am doing the 3rd session of a new sewing machine course this afternoon, so I am going to try to be brave and see if anyone wants to have a look - I keep thinking 'what's the worst that can happen?', but I'm still v nervous about being rejected! Wish me luck.

Ive been wondering abut taking books to hairdressers too. I dont drive but there is a hairdresser nearby BUT surely if the customers wanted to order i would have to sort a way to deliver etc or do you just offer it to the people that work there?

  • Hey people. I had put a load of returns together, stuff I thought would sell but hasn't to make up for money lost this campaign and typically someone has ordered the 8 in 1 palette. I haven't returned it yet as D Day is next Wed - shall I just take this out of the box and scribble it out of the returns form and wait for me to get re-charged for it as I don't think you can take off things off the returns. It's a nice £2.50 for me profit!!
  • hi does anyone know what time the last deliveries are?? was due my order 2day but havent recieved it yet !!

    Hi Andrea,
I only know the approx. delivery times for my area (cause I have the number for the delivery depot from the last time I missed a delivery!) and our area (wirral) the last deliveries are 2pm - but he doesn't leave the depot til bout 9.30am. I can't vouch for the rest of the country, sorry, but if he's this late you may want to send avon an email or ring them to enquire?

    Hi everyone

just a really quick reply as been out all day and just got in.

With hairdressers, walk in clinics, where I was today with my son, libraries, drs sugery, etc., I just walk in or if I already have an appointment, walk upto reception with a nice friendly smile. I then say, Hi, do you know if the staff here get to see an Avon book? Wait for the reply. If the reply is, yes we already have one, then I say, thank you so much, nice smile and leave or take a seat, whichever is appropriate.

If they say no, I brandish one, and ask if they have ever seen an Avon book and would they like to see one, and did they know that there are some really lovely Christmas gifts at great prices in the current books?

My Sales Leader is raving about the boot slippers in the Avon book, she has been wearing them and fighting her husband to wear them, as he really finds them comfortable too. She thinks they are going to be big sellers, so this maybe something you want to promote?

    Hi Lyndsey80

yes I would take if off your returns form, take it out of your returns box.

You may want to send avon an email telling them you are not returning it now and they will automatically recharge you when appropriate.
