funkyfish, the way I looked at it when I first started doing Avon.

I could only afford to buy 20 books, so I only bought 20. I would prep them and put them out and collect them in after a few days. Having only 20 books meant I had to knock on people's door to get them back. I would go home, prep them again and put out whatever I had received back, collect within a few days, and keep doing this until my order was due in.

Submit my order as normal. Then prep the next campaign books, and put these out to the customers who have placed orders, and any left over, go to the beginning of my territory. The previous campaign books are put out to any territory that has not had any or use these books to canvass hairdressers, Dr's surgery, mother and baby groups, fish and chip shop, library, etc.

So for the cost of my 20 books, I was getting a lot of use out of them, so it was worth the money.

    Hope this helps you.

    Thanks !!!!!!.

You seem to be extremely knowledgable about Avon and was wondering if you would like to contribute to a useful info post or word document about being an Avon Rep and Avon Sales Leader.

I'm neither, I'm afraid. But I'll carry on trying to help with specific questions.

  • I am panicking - can someone help me??? I put some returns online on 11 October and it's not showing on my account. I am going to pay the difference at the bank in a bit but will show that I still owe £50 odd as that's the amount of my returns. I am going to order online tomorrow - will it still let me with this £50 showing???? Help!!! xx
  • Hopefully, your balance will change to zero when you've paid in the rest of the money - I've always found that to be the case anyway.

Been out with my ASM today, it was actually fun, she is really, really good - well, she has been doing it for 20 odd years now. She just stopped her car whenever she saw someone likely and asked them wether they were interested in doing Avon. The first lady said yes, we went straight to her house and before I knew it she was signed in - into my team so that was my first signup!:jAnother one was interested but was going out so I have to ring her later to hopefully make an appointment for tomorrow, plus ASM signed in my OH as well so that would make three! I am really chuffed and hope this keeps up and I will be actually brave enough to speak to people myself and get the 5 soon.

On the retail side also doing great, picked up about £200 more in orders today from regulars, so quite pleased!:D

I would still deliver to all of them, Sheena although I don't have any bungalows in my territory so don't have experience of that but I think it would be worth a try.

Hey Panambi - it seems like thing are really moving for you. Well done.

Well I have a very busy night ahead of me tonight. As I recently moved house a lot of my customers live 2 miles away from me. So tonight I have to walk there and deliver them this camps book. Then I have to go back to my territory and put some books out on a new road that I haven't delivered to before. And last but not least I have to collect in books that I delivered a few days ago. Phew what a night

After all of that it'll be Tea, Bath and Bed me thinks in that order lol!
