Sheena, definitely deliver to bungalows. A lot of young people or younger people also live in bungalows, it is not all the older person. The worst is they say no thanks to avon books.

Went out with my rep today to canvass a block of flats, couldn't get into 2 blocks, so posted books through letterbox, fingers crossed, and another found a really helpful lady who didn't want Avon but knew who in her block did!

Let's hope this rep gets some orders.

    Hi Sheena

got to run in a min to pick up my DS, late as usual. My friend who just left same age as me used to live in bungalow, my Fiance's friends young people used to live in a bungalow. sometimes cheaper than a house. so definitely go for it.

Hi Sheena! I live in a bungalow! Also my largest road is mostly bungalows and I have about 12 regular orderers from it plus a few not-so-regular, so don't be put off give them a try! xx

  • Thanks for the clarification about the books, aereol (and others). Really enjoying this thread and the tips.

I did start another thread about One Stop Selling (or whatever the terminology is) but you need to buy a lot more books to do that so at the mo I'll keep doing like you: brand new campaign books go out to my given territory and when collected in go back to any new leads in adjacent streets (or even to people, who stop me on the street, which has actually happened!); back order campaign books go out to friends/family and streets adjacent to my home. That way you can get 4+ uses sometimes out of your books.

Outdated books, rather than just put them in the recycling bin as we're recommended to do, I've even tried to use them to generate new leads by stapling a note to the front re. it being out of date, quoting my details if they'd like to see a current book, and popping them through houses nearby. So far, however, only had one person come back to me via that route so not sure whether that's worth doing. (I wonder if it alienates people and, of course, it precludes you from actually asking them face to face if they're interested, which so far I've found a far more successful route.) What does everyone else do with your old books?

I just recycle my books. By the time I have used them for 2 campaigns I rarely have more than 4 left :)

I have a road which is just caravan type things but i think they prefer calling them mobile homes. I was abit nervous delivering to them as its mostly older people, turns out its my best road for customers. In my area the older ones are the ones who love Avon.
