You have done so well. Well done hun.xxx

Well.... I had one rep out of my 4 text me to say she was moving away and couldn't do it anymore. But I contacted her to say, didn't matter if she was moving, could still be in my team and I could support her.

Then when I spoke to her, she was no longer moving... phew.

Then one of my customer's who has become a friend, albeit the friendship is getting very wearing and now understand why she has no friends, said she wanted to become a rep.

So I found some streets, rang my ASM told her, emailed her details, ASM said yes those streets are free, go ahead and sign her up.

So rang with good news.... "I don't want to do it anymore, I told you this.... and if you are only going to give me 2 streets what good is that to me? I don't have a customer base like you have, you have had all summer to build your customer base. I will be starting from scratch. You have more than 2 roads. Why don't you take them for yourself?"

So that was that.... still looking for my 5th sign up.

And me thinks this friendship needs to be put to rest.
  • Hi All,

Just been trying to read the majority of this thread as my partner has decided to take up doing avon again, a little bit of extra cash and a bit of excerise for her and our ds (10 months).

Just reading though and there is alot of mentions about a word doc with al the tips/hints on but i can not see if anyone has actually done it, so the reason for my posting is to say hi to all and also to see if anyone did ever make the word doc.

    Thanks

Remember my SL mentioning that books became cheaper at some point (and pretty sure I read about it somewhere too but can't for the life of me find it now) - when do books become cheaper in quantity pls?

Think Aureol suggested it and agree that it's an excellent idea although I did wonder if thre might already be a Forum on the Avon site? Not a fan of Facebook (where I think there may be one) and know nothing of Twitter.

Am guessing that the arrival of Avon goodies to be sorted and delivered may be 'getting in the way' at the mo. (My delivery due tomorrow too plus imminent visitors - bad timing - so will catch up with everyone again in a few days!)

Keep up the good work everyone. :T

Hi Dan - have PM'd you, but if you check about 3 pages ago I actually posted my hints and tips on the Forum. Nevertheless, happy to send anything else I have which may be useful.

    Hi Christine

books do get cheaper. The following example is if you are awarded Associate in the President's club.

Associate members are those Representatives who achieve sales of £6,500 in their first 18 campaigns (e.g. a Representative appointed in Campaign 5 2009 and achieving award sales of £6,500 by Campaign 4 2010 will achieve 2009 Associate membership).
    • discounted brochures
    • exclusive offers
    • dedicated President's Club service line
    • President's Club website

    and this is for everyone

    Brochure pricing

Order in Packs of 5. Buy more and save more! Take advantage of discounted quantity pricing. Order more than 3 packs and additional packs are just 48p each.

Pack(s) No. of brochures Cost each Total
    1 5 brochures 59.4p £2.97
    2 10 brochures 40.6p £4.06
    3 15 brochures 31.7p £4.76

    From campaign 6
    1 5 brochures 63p £3.15
    2 10 brochures 42.2p £4.22
    3 15 brochures 32.4p £4.86

All Presidents Club members still qualify for a special price on brochures in 2009. You can now buy 20 packs of brochures for just £10.81, from campaign 6 this will increase to £11.00 with any additional packs at just 48p each. Please note Brochures may not be returned for credit.

    Hi,

I've been intermittantly reading this thread for a few months, I started Avon over a year ago, but just friends and family (no territory).

I have just joined one of the mortgage free wannabee threads, with an aim to reduce our mortgage over the next 3 years. I'm hoping to do this using the profit from Avon (at the moment between £10 and £35 per campaign). I'd like to overpay by £50 per month, so I'm looking to increase my sales if possible. (It's not going to make a massive difference, but as they say 'every little helps!')

I'm interested in any hints and tips people have and am happy to start compiling a Word document to share with everyone else.

Aureol - if you would rather I leave this to you, that's fine, but thought it would help me and let me give something back for a change - I've come on here a couple of times with panic questions and people have always been very helpful (but I don't think I ever came back to say so!).

Things that I would be specifically interested in are:

    1. What do people do when they receive their orders - I read the tip about putting nail varnishes together etc, and doing the smallest obvious orders first, but what else? I use a large paper bag for each order and put the new book inside (a tip I read here a while ago!). Because I only have about 12 orders, I lay all the order forms out on the floor, then pick things out of the boxes and put them on the relevant forms, then bag them all up at the end, keeping one copy of the order form for myself and stapling the other to the outside of the bag. This is just what I have come up with myself, sure there is a better way... Do you check the prices or anything? If I add my orders up and it doesn't agree with the total, I tend to spend quite a while (too long), working out where the difference is - sometimes people have added up their orders wrong, or put the wrong prices and I would lose money if I hadn't have done this... but is it worth it?

    2. How do you go about taking brochures to hairdressers, doctors, libraries, etc? What do you initially say when taking the book, and how do you go about collecting the money/delivering the orders? I have 3 books spare this month and have given myself the challenge to try to give them to 3 new people. I am doing the 3rd session of a new sewing machine course this afternoon, so I am going to try to be brave and see if anyone wants to have a look - I keep thinking 'what's the worst that can happen?', but I'm still v nervous about being rejected! Wish me luck.
