  • Thanks...so even if you added the credits or replacements on different days its fine to send them together?

as for the HT thingy ...SO REALLY....if someone was buying a bubble bath for £4 i could buy it from HT for £1 and make £3 for myself? (if they decided to actually have it in stock lol)

Yes you can - always do the maths though as sometimes Ht products aren't cheaper than a product out of the brochure with 25% discount if it is on a good offer.

Yeah you can send products back in the same box even if you put them through on different days - just make sure you have the barcode number written onto all the returns forms, and keep one copy for yourself, putting the other part of the form into the box so that they can be processed correctly. Stick the barcode label onto the outside of the box :)

  • i didn't think you could sell on the products from ht to customers?

Do people do this? I always avoided it because i didn't want to get into trouble. :(

They look exactly the same as those you get from the brochures - yes you can only order one of each item out of HT (apart from clearance of course) - how is avon going to know if you ordered the item for demo or for a customer ;)

ok can someone please explain to me the 'commission' side of things from HT and the brochure. -i know its not commission but you know what i mean..the money making side of things)
I thought whatever you buy from HT was just paid for full HT price but anything from there is also added to your total so when you reach your HOV/LOV you either get 25%/20% of the brochure orders... right?

Im thinking im getting something wrong. eg someone earlier said about ordering bond girl for a customer for £16 from HT instead of from the brochure...how would she make more money that way? surely if she orders from HT she doesnt make anything for herself?
    V confused

also...One of my customers wants to send back a perfume as it doesnt spray properly. she wants a replacement...My delivery is due this monday and i have things to send back too so if i add replacements online now do i add the perfume to the same 'credits' box to send back or do it separately?

    Hiya

    I agree it is confusing when you first start, but it does get easier. To use my Bond Girl idea to demonstrate;

Customer ordered Bond Girl perfume in C15 for £16. I would make £4 based on 25% commission. In HT16 there is a Bond Girl gift set which costs me £11.20, but as stated in HT, the brochure price will be £16. So my customer gets 2 more products for her £16 on top of the perfume, and I make an additional 80p commission

It's similar when a customer orders 1 item where there is a buy 2 for £x offer in place. Another customer in C15 ordered 1 of the SSS products for £4 where there was a buy 2 for £4 offer in place. You could choose whether to give the customer 2 products as she would have got if she had used the offer, or order the 2nd product and keep it for yourself for free gifts, kit, own use etc

I have quite a healthy stock of products now as I tend to buy things as I go along, some for me, and some i keep as stock for gifts or prizes or whatever. Occasionally I will supply an order from my stock if it is unused, so the money I receive just goes towards paying my order

I also keep my eyes and ears open as to what customers are interested in, and if I see something in internet exclusive offers that I think they will like, I order it and charge what I think is a reasonable charge, usually I double the price, so something I buy for £1 I sell for £2. I have found most customers appreciate that as they feel I am offering them a personal service in a way, and the prices are usually very good too. There was a HSM watch in my last order which cost me £2 and I sold for £4. The customer got a good deal getting a branded watch for £4 and I made £2 without even leaving home lol
  • I want to capitalise on all of my territory for Christmas sales, as I have neglected my territory a bit, preferring to sell to F&F. My OH suggested preparing a flyer where I highlight 10 or so of the Christmas gifts available from Avon, steering clear of make up to hopefully get men to look at it, and counter the stereotype that Avon is 'just for women'. I've copied pictures from Avon website and listed the info, product number and price, and said if they want to order or see a brochure, to contact me. I've also done a spend £30 and get a free gift incentive, and promoted the fact that we can deliver at customers convenience as opposed to waiting for a courier with normal online shopping. I've selected things like the coin sorter, car mouse, some branded kids stuff, jewellery to hopefully wet peoples appetites. And I think getting 200 odd A4 flyers printed or copied will be cheaper than buying loads of books to put through every door. Plus if I do it all with books, I've got the hassle of going back to get them, but I won't with the flyers

I'm only half way through it at mo, but hoping to get it out to everyone next weekend. I'm planning to do 1 flyer for each of the last 3 campaigns of the year leading up to Christmas. Do you think this is a good idea or not?
  • ive done flyers for october saying its breast cancer awareness month and each order i receive over october i will put 5% towards breast cancer awareness, also details of the competition, how to donate online or if they want to donate to my box they can...whichever they prefer. all to a good cause

for xmas I m going to drop books through the houses with -what i call 'lonely men' in. on the front Ive got a flyer saying BEER/FOOTBALL/MONEY in big letters followed by..'now ive got your attention how about buying the women in your lives chirstmas gifts from AVON'

no need to leave the house, no fighting for parking spaces, just flick through in your own home, leave your book out (or email me) and ill deliver to your door NO P&P. Ill even gift wrap for an extra charge...etc etc dont know how well it will work but its worth a try eh?
