Avon Hints and Tips (Part 2)

Well my asm is coming to sign me up on Monday but she popped 10 books through my door yesterday so I went to give one to the woman who lives downstairs from me only to find out that she has contacted avon to become a rep:eek:, but she has been waiting for two weeks for them to call her back. Im hoping that now she knows im doing it she might just leave it as she is not the type to go door to door (i dont think). Think she was just doing it for her and her friends as nobody was doing avon.
Well she took a book for herself and then asked me for two more so she could take them to work with her as her work mates said if she started to do it they want a book.

Really hope she dosnt as could make quite a bit from her and her friends.:o

Oh no Sheena! Not what you needed to hear when you knock on the first door... however seeing as you have been contacted before her you may be in luck re: territory etc. and if she knows she's been beaten to it (so to speak) then she more than likely will give you the orders cause there won't be much point in having two reps in the same building woud there?

it's all automated (conveyor belt) so it's the machine's that need seeing to! my first campaign i had every item delivered ( in Feb) but since then summat is missing every time.last time it was 15 and this time 8

samace83 I hope so ill loose alot of orders if she does start as she is the one in the street that knows everyone if you know what i mean thats why I gave her the book as soon as i got it. we will just have to wait and see :rolleyes:

Thats not right, they should be responding withing 48 hours. But sometimes they shift them around a lot, some asm's don't last very long at all and maybe the new one hasn't contacted you, so you don't know who she is.

But if it's still the same lady, give avon a call. Let them know you've contacted her and had nothing back

I'm feeling a bit pleased with myself today. A customer has ordered the Bond Girl perfume at £16 from the current brochure, and I always look to see if I can do any creative ordering to earn more commission. I noticed in HT that they are doing a Bond Girl gift set comprising of perfume plus shower gel and I think body lotion in a gift box, which will be in brochure at £16, but in HT it is only £10.xx. Customer gets more for her money, and I make £5 by charging her what the £16 she was going to pay anyway!

Good result all round!! :-)

Happy girl; I know exactly what you mean - I found that people who ordered Anew serum could get a better free give if I ordered out of HT 16 and I got it £4 cheaper so I made a bit and got to charge them the full £18.... and I'm hoping they appreciate the better free gift

most of the time i find you aren't much better off by buying from HT (if you take max commision into account)

I agree with you on that as well echo; some things are better off being ordered from the catalogue but sometimes the free gifts are better in HT so I try and think from the customers POV there.... but I understand what you're saying bout the commission as well; it's hard to judge sometimes -more money or happy customers that keep ordering?

Just wanted to say thanks so much for your help last night, i was really worried incase i hadent earned anything, lol

But just did what you said and wited till today, checked and yes i made more than i thought so i made £63.78 profit on campaign 15

Really chuffed with it being my first campaign

Also just check invoice and notice i have 20 free campaign 17 brouchers, i had already orded 20 which i kniw now wasent enough as i have been given another 3 roads which im really chuffed

Is it because it my first order placed, or does it happen everytime?

Alos i knwo its probably already been answered before but does my orders form HT mag still count towards my total?
