I know a while ago there was a glitch with the system, it didn't even show my items as being delivered! But I had received them. But think everything is working fine now.

If you don't get it today, definitely give them a call.

    Sam

does your screen show something similar to below?

To prevent delays to your order, your online payment (or your cheque/giro payment) plus your completed order must be received by 10pm on the day shown below.

Campaign Submit your order online by

    1 Wednesday 09 December
    18 Wednesday 18 November
    17 Wednesday 28 October
    16 Wednesday 07 October

    Delivery due
    Monday 14 December
    Tuesday 24 November
    Tuesday 03 November
    Tuesday 13 October

if the ones on the right are Wednesday, this is your delivery day, apart from maybe december, like mine has changed for that campaign.

had to edit it as dates not clear
  • Yes; the screen on the avon web is exactly like that - except that mine says Wednesday :T So I'll know to tell the OH to stay in all day Wednesday! Thanks ever soo much

Hi, I was just wondering if I could ask for all your opinions on a special offer I am thinking of doing in C16..

It will only be my 2nd campaign and I have ordered a lot of books so that I can hopefully do my whole territory this time (about 160 houses) as only managed about 40 this time (lack of books)..

anyways I have made up a coupon that says 'Free Advance techniques shampoo or conditioner for orders of £20 or more' and given them the page number of the £1.25 shampoo/conditioners to choose their 'free' one...

Does this seem like a reasonable idea? I was thinking it might encourage spend + it may be a way of getting them to try the AT stuff and I thought could lead to further orders of it...

I would appreciate your comments on this as I am very new to Avon...

Thanks as always for all your great advice and tips on here :T

    Hiya,
    Think that sound great!
I run an incentive 'Free surprise gift with orders over £15!', I alays but things that are 99p! Try not to get them out of HT as I have done that & had 20 items not arrive!
I find it runs really well & my average customer spend is £16.85 this time round!
I usually have to buy about 35 free gifts!
Only on my 5th campaign but loving it! It was hard at 1st as I cover a large area but have got into a routine now thankfully!

I have found the AT items sell well, especially the serums, tried them myself & love them - Except the root boosting spray, didnt like that at all!
    Good luck!
    Avon C11 £751.22! C12 £722.42! C13 £651.93! C14 £1180.37:j

Was really chuffed today, went back for a second sweep of my road and picked up 3 more books, 1 of which had an order in yay...it was one that I had left a week before and I had put a slip through to say I would be back today....really glad I did that now!!

Total 1st camp now £128.00 from customers....not fantastic but not too bad to start off with I guess...
Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.00
  • well done 69chick, that's a fab first order!! you will probably hit HOV when you order your brochures etc so that's a brilliant start!

hi pinkbabe, when I first started doing avon I had the same problem, and had to put through so many yellow cards, telling them I would be back.

One day, hardly anyone had put theirs out in one particular close, and i put the cards through, went back the next day, no one had left their books out, so thought sod it, I am leaving the books.

I went back a month later with the new books and they had left the books out.... and one even complained I hadn't collected for a month and didn't want me leaving anymore.. so they must have left them out the following day when I didn't go back a third time!!!!!

It does get easier, and I think when they realise you are serious they will start leaving them out.

Do you suffer from vertigo? dizziness could be caused by that.

Thank you for your lovely reply..... no I have Fibromyalgia which causes all types of strange things..... just having a really bad day.

  • im sooooo fed up right now, i just had a very rude lady on the phone (another rep actually) in the village i live in there is a lane that runs through the village i live on one side she on the other. Now, this is only my 2nd campaign, after signing up with avon my asm rang me to tell me all the roads i could deliver to- this lady's road is on the list i was given- she rings up tonight, giving me a hell of abuse to tell me she doesnt cross my side of the road so i shouldnt cross her side of the line, i told her that the asm gave me the road, and if she knows how to avon she knows how things like that work- ie not my fault ive just been given the road. The strange thing is that whilst collecting in the books from this street (theres only 12 or so houses) a lady popped her book out and said that she wouldnt be ordering as her daughter did the avon (didnt live in the village though) she mentioned nothing of having any other rep in the vilage doing the street and this is supposed to be her own street.

Im not bothered about not getting the street as i didnt get any orders from that street anyways- i had planned to recanvass the area before christmas, the thing that bothers me is the way she spoke to me on the phone- she didnt tell me who she was, i do have her phone number, which i will give to my asm- as she will then know who it is i am speaking about. Ive only just come back to avon again, and am wondering why im bothering- but in these 2 campaigns i have built up a few customers.

Anyways just wanted a moan as asm hasnt called me back yet- and i did tell her it was urgent and to call back asap!
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

ah hannahsmummy, the rep could have dealt with the situation much more pleasantly and maybe she doesn't canvass her own road, maybe another rep had it before she joined Avon.

Where I live, I have only been given my side of the road and told not to canvass the other side, but I have never seen an Avon rep down that side. Mind you not many people on that side would buy Avon so can understand why.

My friend lives 2 roads away and she told me she has not seen an Avon rep for years, but I have been told her road is already assigned to a rep.

It's one of those Avon things, isn't it. Avon aren't perfect as we keep finding out, but I do enjoy it, it allows me to be at home with my son, 4 days a week, which I enjoy, it allows me to have him when his childminder is on holiday without being penalised at work or having to take unpaid leave.
