Hi, yes, call Avon and find out where your delivery is. I live in a house, and the 2 times the courier couldn't deliver to me, he left me a card to call the courier office, and I also received a call from Avon telling me where the delivery was.

That is really worrying, imagine he delivered and left it outside!
Hiya :) It arrived today *phew* :D
  • Hi aureol

LOL yes i had to read it three times but it all makes sense now having a thick day thanks for the great reply very informative.

Cant wait to get started hope they contact me soon.

One more thing i know someone who was doing Avon and quit soon after as she was not receiving any orders and no one was putting the books back out for collection. Just wondered what you all think, is it worth it becasue this is what has been putting me off.

  • Hiya ladies
I received my first delivery yesterday for C14 (which was back-ordered; just as the asm told me to do) BUT I had an additional order, for the same campaign, placed a day later - do I have to pay the full invoice before I get the additional delivery?
My ASM is coming to visit this evening so that should be fun :D

    Thank goodness for that!:D

Have they changed your delivery day? Did they tell you why it wasn't delivered Friday?

no, it was my fault, I really didn't write it clearly. That's what happens when you are distracted by things around you!

note to self, make sure you read before posting information.

    lol

If you read back through this forum, you will find we have all discussed people not leaving books out for us. You soon learn to avoid those ones THAT NEVER leave the book out, some need a gentle reminder, knock on the door, yellow card - I called to collect your book.
The best thing to do if you are worried about getting orders, make a list of everyone you know, family, friends, acquaintances, neighbours, if you have children, think about the nursery they went to, playschool, school, where do you get your haircut, facials, etc.

And approach all these people and ask them if they already seen an avon book and if not would they be interested. Push the hair products, they are fab and cheaper than high street, christmas is coming, some lovely gifts and there will be a xmas edition of avon book... then I am sure you will have plenty of orders rolling in and will be posting higher than me HOV.

That's not hard, everyone always has higher than me HOV or MOV!!! :rotfl:

I will be honest with you, it is hard work, and you get out what you put in. But once you have put the effort in, you will find it gets so much easier!

Sheena I am new to this myself but judging by the comments on here, I think it takes time to build up your customer base from your territory, especially if people have been let down before, so some may wait and see if you are consistent etc. before ordering from you....I know of friends who have placed orders and never seen the avon rep again!!

Good luck if you decide to go ahead....there is lots of support and advice on here too x

  • I have just completed my 5th order and have already got about 20 customers who order each and every time, all from my territory, plus a handful of friends and family who occassionally order as well. I think it depends where you are, and what your area is like as some people get masses of territory and very few customers, others have tiny territory and loads of customers!! If you don't get many customers you can always ask for more territory to build up your number of customers!

    Flipping hot today!!

  • Hi & welcome to all the newbies :hello: It all seems daunting at first, but it soon falls into place. No question is 'silly' - we all asked the same questions at the start!

On the subject of brochures, I'd say that if your order value allows it, then order plenty so that you don't have to keep going back. If people have an order, they rarely forget to put out their book, so all that time calling back is unproductive and very dispiriting! I order 17 packs of books for 120 houses, and have arranged my calling pattern so that subsequent drops get smaller to account for lost books. One way of looking at it is that at least the books are out there for someone to look at, so who knows, you may get indirect orders ;)
