I did the same thing when I first started out and got a few orders, but I was ordering a couple of clearance items.

My SL was checking my order on line after I submitted it, realised what I had done and emailed Avon to ask them to combine my orders. They said they couldn't do it, as it had already been submitted to be prepared. However, none of the items I was ordering where in stock, so I didn't get charged for the previous campaign. Think my SL said something about £2.50 additional order charge.

69chick, who signed you up? Was it SL or ASM?
  • Hi All,

I was thinking of running an incentive for my customers and saying that if they buy the perfume they will be in with a chance of winning a limited edition gold ipod, however I will need to sell over 20 of them to get the ipod for nothing.

    What are peoples thoughts?

Can someone help me as i have been doing avon for about a year now and want to earn more but do not know how. I thought about starting to recruit but do not know if i am able to??

    Hi chiconoa

there are 2 ways to start earning more. Ask for more territory or expand your current customer base by giving books to staff rooms at supermarkets, hairdressers, beauty shops, etc.

Or become a Sales Leader. You need to understand what being a Sales Leader involves and I think you should talk to your ASM or SL. Whoever signed you up. They will be able to explain the role to you and if you are happy, sign you up as a trainee SL.

I got set up as an avon rep today but haven't been given any territory??
I know my scheme was taken but I asked about another one and was told they'd call me ... she did and said it was taken too.

So I'm left not knowing what schemes I can do? If I phone them can they tell me what territorys are free?
  • Nikki, sorry if i'm being a bit dim but what do you mean by schemes?
  • spethmeister- schemes are estates.

Im in a bit of a pickle! i had a huge order this time- well huge for me! - it came to 410 pounds- and i also ordered 20 bottles of the absynthe perfume (so i can hopefully get a free ipod- for a pressie for christmas for someone!!!) anyways- i thought you didnt get charged for the perfume till C17 (or something like that?) so that was fine- but avon rang me yesterday to tell me that my credit limit is 500 pounds i have gone over by 170 pounds- i dont get this (well i do, but i dont understand why!) so the two orders combined come to 670 pounds- they have included the price of the perfume in this- but why - if they dont charge it till C17???

So... i told the guy at avon i couldnt pay the 170 pounds-dont get paid till friday and am skint till then anyways- so he said i could delete a few things off the order- which would be fine as i had ordered a few things and so had friends and family- easier to explain to them than customers! As he rang when i was out i didnt have the product numbers to delete them so i told him i would ring back when i got home- which i did.

Only when i rang back, the next guy said that the order was fine and had been passed for processing and i didnt need to pay 170 or delete things off the order-hmmm says i not entirely convinced- so he said i could ring back in a few days to double check if i wanted. Meanwhile my ASM rings me to tell me avon have been in contact with her about this issue- and ask if its my first order- which it isnt- she tells them this

Im just confused now!- sorry to waffle!
Now im debt free i want to be fat free too!

The £170 coming of you limit is correct, think of it like a credit card you buy something to day for £100 it comes of your credit limit even tho you dont need to pay for it until a month later
  • I am confused about the absynthe money maker offer. I don't seem to have any targets mentioned on my C14 invoice and I wasn't a rep in 2008. I really like the perfume and was going to try and promote it over the next few campaigns as I wouldn't mind an Ipod shuffle, am a bit confused how I would get the gold Ipod though? Do I only need to sell 5 bottles to get it for £10.00?
