Hi little devil,
obviously everyone is different, but at a guess i'd say i do 4-6 hours per week.
i do my rounds with my oldest two helping put the books though (my youngest is only 7 months old)
we normally do monday, wednesday and friday after school for about an hour a time, plus i deliver my orders on the tuesday after recieving the delivery and i do an hour or two a week of sorting out books and paper work etc.
my allocated territory is 172 houses, but after 4 campaigns only approx 120 of them have books. plus i give books to a couple of friends. this last campaign i had 26 orders.
some people once they get a few campaigns in only deliver to those that they know will order, plus family and friends, but with christmas coming up i've decided to keep canvasing the houses.Missysx

Hello, just having a good avon clean up, with random books and leaflets left all over the place. And happened to find a document my leader gave me with the roads i am meant to cover, and found that i have another road asigned to me with 180 houses. I cant believe i didnt realise! I am on my second campaign now so I didnt think to have a good look, was just in a panic to get books out the first time around and get it all right. I have a big area already so another road does mean extra work but extra money as well :-) :-)
Just thought i would tell you, because none of my family and friends would understand my excitement over a road lol so i thought i would share with my fellow Avon reps.0 -
ah skint student, how nice to discover you have potential extra income! :-)0

I am just looking to earn some extra money for myself i currently work full time and my salary from that pays for everything houshold wise (my parnter is currently unemployed).
One of the only things that is putting me off is all the stories you hear of people not making any money and spending hours walking the streets. I cant take the books into work as someone all ready does that i do like the idea of going to Drs, Hairdressers etc as i live very close to my town centre.
How many hours do most people put in on each campain ? Also after paying extra tax on your earnings does it work out worthwhile. I work full time too, it hasn't affected by tax code for work, but I have no idea how much tax I will actually be paying lol - but that will only be paid on profits, and there are lots of things you can put down as costs - obvious things like the brochures, freezer bags, samples, free gifts for customers etc, but also printer paper, ink etc etc if you print out things.
How many houses do you normally get in you patch? It is hard to say how many houses you would be given - as it depends on what is free on your area, and also on the area manager - some will give you lots of houses straight away, others maybe 100 to begin with, then once you have proved yourself they may give you more, but you should be given enough houses to get to HOV at least.
I am really thinking seriously of joining and think i would enjoy it but still slightly unsure.
Thanks in advance for any information and sorry for the long post.
Nic
You may as well give it a go - it is free to try, as if you don't submit your first order (ie cos you don't get enough orders) then you won't be charged anything. You will be surprised as to how quickly you reach mov & then hov.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
i think i should check on this as it was less than a wk ago i was told it was £250, would be great if it is only £148, atleast i would be in with a chance of reaching this target.
Hey there,
I was signed up on 12th sept and my area leader wrote the HOV figure for me as £148; I know they give you a leaflet telling you what bonuses you get if you qualify for them (when you reach the MOV & HOV) and that says £250 but my area leader for Wirral told me the £250 figure is definitely wrong..... I would check with the person who signed you up and ask her to rectify for you but it should be £148 for the HOV.
Thanks, SamanthaSmile and the world smiles with you....and if the world won't then I will :A

Ha, you know the lipstick I received with no covering note and I was wondering why I had received it? Well, I forgot! I entered an Avon competition from the MSE Board and won it! LOL

On my last day of my first campaign, (order due in by tomorrow night), went to my road after I had dropped the kids of to school/nursery and of the 10 books I left last thursday (all I had left to put out) only 1 was left out for me  maybe I was a bit early as it was just after 9am I was soo hoping for just 1 order as I am currently at £110 from my customers (although I will be spending a fair bit so will make HOV)
Re the confidence thing, I have a book at my dd's nursery and when I go this afternoon I need to remind them that the order is going in tomorrow and I am pretty nervous about asking!! also my neighbour took a book a couple of weeks ago and said she would take one to work, I havn't spoken to her since but I must go over today and ask her if she wants anything...am now sitting thinking of another reason to go over so that it can sound like an afterthought lol
I am going to ordera lot of books for c16 (i should already have those books but have to order them this time so will only have 2 weeks to canvass) so am hoping that I can cover more of my territorty this time...have only managed 42 houses out of a possible 165! this time, so heres hoping I can get a better result next campaign...
Thanks to all of you with your hints and tips....Starting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
