I've got to buy some Avon jewellery! I had a necklace/bracelet set on the other day which was from somewhere like Matalan and they are really nice but one of my customers said 'ooo how much is that then?', I blushed and told her it wasn't actually Avon.

There is a really lovely silver multi-stranded heart necklace in HT at the moment - I think I may have to order that! :)

    Hi all,

Have just got a few more orders in, just doing friends and family at the moment until i can get an proper area.
Had a question about the Advance techniques age revitalising treatment spray, (page 25 campaign 13), do you spray it on wet hair or dry?? i presume it's a leave in spray??

Also i have no copy of HT 14 only HT 13, can i see online what is available in HT14 when i place my order???

    thanks

You should be able to look at HT14 AND HT15. The HT is always 2 camps on from your current one. HTH

If you save you draft order and proceed as those you were going to submit order but before you get there it shows you both HT 14 and HT 15 as Lyndsey says.

Tsk, picked up all those books and got one order for £2.50...better than nothing though and could turn out to be a good customer. But I also got two, quite rude, "no thank you"'s. Right bummer, I hate my territory

Oh, oh! And get this! When I put the books through the door, I put a little pack of samples through with each. I handed out about 40 books and got maybe 6 sample packs back. Cheeky, cheeky, bloody people
  • Would it be beneficial to post slips through peoples doors asking them to contact you if they would like a copy of the Avon books. That way you only give it to people that you know are interested.

  • I think that very few people would actually bother contact you - it is more that it is there and they have a browse and then order... I may be wrong but that is how I imagine it going! Same as if you take a book into work and others end up ordering when they see people are...

However I do think it can be beneficial to ask people if they want one when you collect the 2nd or 3rd time, especially if they never leave them out. I sometimes do but othertimes don't as I don't want people to say No in the spur of the moment and then possibly order later down the line - I guess it also depends on how much time you have and how many books you buy.

While I'm here, thanks for all the hints and tips people, very interesting reading! Am on my 4th campaign and gradually increasing orders, did a free gift with orders over £20 this time which has definately made a difference to some orders but not too all - which is as good as I'd hope really!

Keep on Avoning girls and guys :D

  • I agree completely! My own experience has been that when I've asked people if they want a book, the knee-jerk reaction has been to say 'No', but when I've later delivered books to the same people, many of them have ordered and some have become regular customers. I did try leafletting, but had no response to 150 leaflets, although I have had one person contact me later as a response to one delivered to her Mother several months before.

Also, I know i've said this before, but don't write people off too early. I've had people order for the first time 28 or 29 campaigns down the line! I think it's a bit like Chinese water torture - keep tempting them with a book until they eventually crack :D

As to what i do with my Avon stuff - in theory it's in the spare bedroom (rumour has it there's a bed in there somewhere, but you'd be hard-put to find it :rotfl:), but like Lyndsey I like checking books etc downstairs, so it spreads all over the house. Fortunately, I'm not the most houseproud, so it doesn't worry me too much ;)

Within 2 campaigns my oh was complaining that the flat was overrun with avon - and it's getting progressively worse!! I used to keep everything in dd2s crib in the lounge but we don't have it anymore so have just crammed it all into a couple of avon boxes tucked by the side of a sofa!

I keep finding the freezer bags in really obscure places, and lippy samples keep mysteriously appearing in dd1s little vanity mirror drawers!!

Had my best campaign so far - my orders seem to be going up each time which is fab!! How do I work out what figures to use in my signature?
