Wonderful! Thank you so much! :D

  • Hi, fairly new Avon rep here with a (possibly daft) idea...

I've just completed 3rd campaign with territory and noticed a big drop in orders from the streets I have hit all 3 times, also several customers are asking to skip a campaign.

At first I did think every 3 weeks was a bit much but quite a few of my customers seem to like getting the new book with their order, especially the old biddies in retirement bungalows on my street ;).

I have one main street which is half my territory and it's ridiculously steep and hard to negotiate with the pram (my 7 month old tags along). No-one on this one big street has ordered every time so I've been wondering whether to alternate it with another, flatter, street a bit nearer my house so I'm covering twice as many homes with the same number of books and not so much legwork.

Anyone tried only hitting bits of territory every other campaign? Do you get bigger orders that way or do you think I will miss out and/or annoy customers/Avon by trying this?

    Thanks for your tips :D
  • Hi Burbles, and welcome

It's probably completely unhelpful, but I think it depends on what suits you and your area. The only thing I can see against it is that it might be a bit difficult to keep track of, especially as it sounds as though (like me) you give the new brochure with their order.

As long as you get results, it doesn't really matter how you get there - you're self-employed after all.

Perhaps someone else has some constructive ideas?

I have just spoken to a manager?? and she said that she will pop round on Saturday to give me some books and get me signed up.

I am a little worried about putting in any work before a credit check is done but I am on holiday in a week for 2 weeks anyway so should I explain this and keep the books so that when I get back I will have books for 2 campaigns and if the creditcheck doesn't come back ok then I can hand everything back unused.

Do you think this will be ok?

I'd suggest just re-arranging it for when you get back from holiday - it is unusual to refused an account if you have a poor credit rating the normal thing is just to be given a lower limit to start with - it would be better to be signed up after you have been away, as otherwise it will affect you qualifying for free samples as you will have missed your first campaign, and potentially your account could be automatically closed from avon as they may assume you have changed your mind - plus, from a sales leader point of view I wouldn't get re-imbursed for the books I give people unless they place a first order of £78 which would need to be in the very first campaign of being registered, so the person signing you would probably be much happier to just sign you up after you have been away.hth

Hi everyone :j Been off the boards for quite some time - hi lynsey pinzy!!

I have missed the last 4 campaigns due to holidays and swine flu but I am back now, unfortunately I gave away every copy of my c12 books to Pinzy (don't worry honey) not realising I would need one of them to do the back ordering so if anyone could help me... I am going to post up here, as I go through the brochure, each item thats full price (that my customers have ordered) and if you guys could tell me how much it is in brochure C12 and the code I would be ever so grateful!!

I will put the page number of c13 in case you can't picture what it is:

    Here goes:

Spectracolour lipstick (browns) c13 pg 76 £10.....c12 price and code?

    thanks in advance!!!

    kat x

p.s my order date is today!
