Lol avon stuff has taken over my house - most of my rep stuff & SL is in the office - but got stacks of books in a corner in the living room (have to have loads for signing people up!) and lots of plastic storage plastic in the conservatory which I keep the bags, and the books that are ours in - plus we're going to be starting to do carboots regularly, so have a big tub & shelving unit full of products pmsl - I think it is winding mil up - she is VERY houseproud (well I think she has ocd lol), me I'm not so bothered lol :p

In my signature I just add up all orders and put that amount in - so it's excluding bits for me/gifts samples etc.

Well I am seriously lacking internet access, was hoping avon would pick up enough for me to buy broadband. Whilst I am getting more customers, my commission is so little, it is all going back on the books and maybe one or items I buy. Got my order today, made £20.xx commission, but I have to pay £24.xx for my books and 2 items I ordered.

Where am I going wrong? Asked ASM for more territory, she sent an email saying here are more roadS, correction, as I told her, she had sent me 1 road. She quoted how many books I had bought, each campaign, how many customers i should have per street. So I emailed back a nice email saying that the data might be old, as I have had xx no thankyou to Avon books and xx customers on each street, not the amount she had advised, hence my low order on books. As I have found this campaign, I ordered more books and am paying for them with ALL my commission.

this campaign I have put every order will be put into a prize draw but it has not upped my sales at all.

I already offer 10% discount to new customers, customers who order over £20, etc.

And OH has told me off everyday since last week, as the dining table has been taken over with Avon and other paperwork and we cannot eat off it.

I know it's a silly question - but are you using both the current and previous books at the same time? As that will seriously cut down on how many books you need to buy. The trouble is, the asm have some kind of system that tells them how many "customers" there is expected from each road & the total amount, I've pmsl when my asm gave me a printed list for going and prospecting for reps - one street they reckoned you could get £100 of orders - there is NO way that would be possible, it is the most poverty stricken street in the whole of the town where I live, seriously like abandoned zombie movie type style street lol! Could be worth asking your customers to take a book into their workplace etc for you, and give them a gift or a % of their own personal order as a thank you.

The system the ASM uses is the Avon system which they all use , its shows a map and expected customer spend, not sure how they get the figures, think they pull them out of a hat :rotfl:
  • I have just spoken to a manager?? and she said that she will pop round on Saturday to give me some books and get me signed up.

I am a little worried about putting in any work before a credit check is done but I am on holiday in a week for 2 weeks anyway so should I explain this and keep the books so that when I get back I will have books for 2 campaigns and if the creditcheck doesn't come back ok then I can hand everything back unused.

Do you think this will be ok?

You could be right - they do seem to live in cloud cuckoo land most of the time

I remember being told when i started that the average spend per customer is £12, and funnily enough, when I checked out this time's order, it came out at £11.76 per customer, so pretty damn close.
