Placed my second order last night, and am pleased to report I hit the £200 mark!
Granted I seem to be spending any potential earnings on stuff for myself and new brochures, but I'm getting out of the house and getting exercise and meeting people, so i'm feeling really pleased with myself!!
Decided to gove Sales Leadership a miss until dd1 goes back to school in September as 2 days into the school holiday it is already very clear that I won't have the time or the energy to put in the work required to make it work!! Hopefully starting in Sept i'll have more time and energy and people might be starting to think about extra christmas earnings so hopefully it will be good timing!!0 -
there was no moneymaker in HT14.i'm on HT15 now and if you're interested there's a moneymaker on the Reece Witherspoon's In Bloom perfume0

You can order as many Super Curl Mascara's, that's what I meant. Mascara does sell well with my territory, but then it's the hassle of sending them back if they don't sell...
Also the 8 in 1 palette £7 each or buy both for £7. I might buy this one too (After me saying I won't spend on this camp!! Oops!)0 -
welcome to the forum married_to_the_seas sorry to hear your not well and stuck in the house for a few days hope you feel better soon xx0

Well sadly I'm going to have to give up sales leadership :-( I've managed to make a very large financial loss in the 4 campaigns I've been a salesleader. If you spend £12 on petrol, £6 on books and an appointing pack, and that rep never places a first order, sadly you can see how it adds up. Plus the ones that do, you earn £2 commission on, and then they never place a second order! Plus the advertising expenditure was huge :-(
Luckily I was funding it from another of my businesses but sadly I have had to call it a day. It was very stressful receiving calls at all times of day and night, plus weekends . When you think of the hassle you get non stop, and then your pay cheque turns up for just £85, meaning you've been working for less than 25p per hour, you do wonder why....
Anyway I hope my feedback helps someone. My advice would be to take it real slow, don't advertise except for free, and don't recruit too many at a time as you don't get to know them well enough that you can be sure of retaining them!0 -
I'm sorry it didn't work out for you Charlie - time to concentrate on your next big production in November'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Heyy I am a new rep & have delivered 48 books, only got 23 books back and one order
have a few orders from work and a few from family. Can I still put in an order even under my MOV of £78.00? (I know i wont recieve commision) What are everyone's experiences of when they first started Avon? Maybe i just need to keep putting the books out on the next campaign and see what response i get? I guess it takes time to build custom & show them you are reliable. I have dropped off at another 14 homes today so will have to see what happens there. Thank-you! Emma xx

Definately keep taking the books to people unless they specifically say they don't want one - depending how the last rep left it could have put them off ordering this first time, until they see that you are going to carry on and then they will start to order. I was still picking up new customers after the 5th book being delivered to people so don't give up! Yes you can place an order below the MOV, obviously you won't earn but you can. It could be worth ordering some bits for yourself (maybe in preparation for Christmas presents even!) in order to hit £78 so that you get a discount. The cost of your books will count towards the £78 so say you order £5 of books, then you only need £73 of orders which isn't so bad. Have you been knocking on doors to get the books back or popping notes through to say that you have been? Sometimes people won't leave them out as they have forgotten, or they may want to ask you something so want you to knock on their door! You will definately pick up more customers each campaign, and eventually those customers will start to show their daughter/mother etc who doesn't have an Avon lady so you gain more customers through that also. hthAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
