My SL is loooooooooooooovely. She knows I don't have a car and she has offered if I want to be a SL to come with me and recruit and go and see newbies, to take them brochures, etc. How nice is that? mine is so positive and willing to share all her trade secrets to up our sales. I know she benefits from our increased sales but she is a genuinely nice person who wants us to succeed as individuals.

Mine is CharlieDavis and i've just read the post on here saying she's leaving. Eeek!

Will this affect me at all? Who do I go to if I need any help? (apart from here of course :))

I am going to pay my C11 invoice at the post office in a mo, but I am £40 down!! I have bought some things and also people are on holiday!!! I have to return the Glam Box so can I pay minus the £40 and pay the rest when customers are back - my order for C12 is due tomorrow, will they stop me placing my order? I have no money in my account so have to use my credit card to make up for the deficit!!!

I cant stress enough the importance of knocking on doors to get books back. In my experience some people want advice on products or arent sure how to fill in the form so they wait until you call to collect it. Others have said they dont like leaving the book outside with their name and address written on it, or even some complained that local children pinch the books and throw them around the streets.
Ive had loads of customers tell me that previous reps never bothered returning to collect the books so they lost the orders.

9/10 people dont mind you knocking on the door to collect the book. Anyone who is stroppy with me simply gets crossed off my list and I dont go back. So far I havent had a problem (touch wood!).

Always collect books on the day you've said, if they arent in leave a card saying you'll call back on whichever day, call back that day if they still arent in and no book is left out put a card in saying you'd called and leave your contact numbers and a message saying 'order by 10th august 9pm' or whatever. That gives them a chance to call you if they've been busy.

On my first couple of camps I had to knock on doors many a time, now they leave them out. One household doesn't leave it out because of the kids and I have discovered they are not in until after 8pm - I'm normally done then so I kept missing them. They rang me last camp to place an order! So now I know a lot of people's habits, you will get to know who is in when and how they like to use Avon.

If Charlie has an upliner, you'll go to him/her (hopefully, they'll contact you). If Charlie hasn't, you'll be directly under your local ASM.

  • I am definately going to leave a note on my next campaign in order to recieve more books back & stress that they can call me if they have any queries. If that fails i may consider knockin on doors to certain houses. Thanks for ur advice :)

    OK - rant alert!

I have a customer who is usually no problem at all. However, this time she said could I leave her order till the Tuesday of the week following delivery, as her Husband had just had a birthday and she had no money. Being the lovely person that I am :p I said that of course that was OK.

Well, you know what's coming next; on Tuesday her Husband answered the door and said she'd popped out and hadn't left the money. All week I tried to contact her - the home phone just rang and was never answered, her mobile went to voicemail, and she didn't even answer emails or a message on Facebook (despite having posted on a number of occasions). Low and behold, on Monday she emailed and said her phone had been out of action and her internet was playing up, and did I still have her order. I answered her email, but she still didn't get back to me with a delivery day; I knocked yesterday but she had no money in the house, and today she's not answering any contacts. Needless to say, I've put a note through her door to say that I'm sending the order back and to contact me when she's sorted out her problems.

Why on earth can't people just be straight with us and not take us for idiots? I'm assuming that she hasn't paid her phone bill and has no credit on her mobile to ring or text me, but why can't she just say she's broke at the moment. I could have sympathy with that and would probably offer to split the order so that she could pay for it bit by bit, but spare me the feeble excuses :mad:

Takes deep breath.................ommmm!!! OK, it's safe to come out from behind the sofa - I feel better now. I know you've all been there ;)

Heya yes sorry hun, hopefully you got an email from me this afternoon with my upliner's details, she will be in touch soon. Can I say if all my reps were like you Katie, I NEVER would have left! :T
  • Hi, I'm a new rep doing my first campaign, so only have 1 copy of HT at the moment, HT14

I want to order a demo version of the spectracolour lipstick (the one with several different shades in one lipstick) but it isn't in my copy of HT. Does anyone have a demo code/price for it please?

When I place my order online, will I be able to see past HT's online?

    Thanks
