Just the one order yesterday but I did speak to one woman who made me realise that people may be a bit wary! She said she'd given an order to the last girl to canvass the street and never heard from her again! She said if I definitely keep putting the brochures thru the door regular then she'll definitely order in the future. Hopefully some of the others will be the same!
Total orders now around £275 with 8 days to go :TSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -

I think this is quite common unfortuneatly. I put books though doors at least 4 times before I write them off as not interested. I do use 'are you interested?' slips as well but most people dont bother ticking them. I have increased my customer base by consistently posting books every / or every other campaign.

I have written anyone off just yet unless they've specifically asked not to receive future books (so far about 6 out of my 170 ish houses). Hopefully more people will order in the future when they realise I'm not going anywhereSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
I've got a couple more questions I hope you can help me with...
I'm ordering some clearance things as incentives at my parties and to offer as free gifts with purchase in my next campaign, what I'm wondering is how much do you normally spend on incentives (After reading the last thread I haven't ordered anything more than £1) Do you order clearance things to sell at parties or just as free gifts with purchase?Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

Hi Sparkly
Personally I'd not spend more than £1 on an incentive - it simply takes too much of my earnings otherwise! Clearance is not to be sold on according to Avon - though technically once you've paid the invoice that product belongs to you and you can do what you like with it - that is worth bearing in mind. Personally I would rather get cheaper current lines as it's more likely to lead to a future sale. As for selling cheap at parties, well, it's a fine line. Don't bring out the bargain bin until you've collected all the proper orders, the last thing you want is to lose your regular sales to the bargain bin. I'm planning on having a bargain bin at charity parties, but not home parties.0 -
One of my customers has ordered 3 x Lacroix Rouge from Brochure 14 (£14 each). I can get a Lacroix Rouge gift set in HT16 for £14. Will the perfume come separate (boxed) to give the customer so I can keep the freebies for future free gifts?Small business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0

Kat, I'm trying for senior exec within 18 campaigns, not 18 months  I know I won't manage it, but I want to give it my best shot before I fail, I figure that by that time I'll have a pretty good business anyway
Am I the only one whose life is being slowly overrun by Avon? I am seriously going to have to start pencilling in times to do chores and socialise - it won't happen otherwise! This week I have my last big stab at C15 sales, I've got to try and catch a load of students as new recruits, I have the pub party to arrange, and I have sign-ups and second visits to attend! I so need to learn to drive... either that or teach the cat to do Avon for me. What did I used to fill my time with six weeks ago?!
Yeah I meant 18 campaigns, that's still a huge feat, but I wish you good luck!!
You are not the only one overrun with avon, I am slowly getting that way, I am sure once I become a sales leader I will be totally gone!
Good luck learning to drive, my mum just passed her driving test a few weeks ago and she is so in love with driving now, she is 46 years old, bless her and it was her first test!

I guess that's the problem now they're really pushing the multi-level marketing.
The lady who's going to sign me up on Tuesday asked if I'm happy to go door to door, when I said I'm not sure she said she's got a small area left which I can do as a rep.
Thing is, if she's only got a small area left, how am I supposed to sell being an Avon rep to other people, knowing there's nowhere for them to sell?
Don't worry Pinzy, unless you sign up your next door neighbour you are unlikely to sign many people up who are in the same area as you, even in the same town. My sales leader lives in the same town as me but she is on a different mailplan and in a different area than me, each area manager will have territory that they can allocate, plus the turnover of reps is high so some territory will probably be available again soon in your area anyway.

So I've just got back, I posted 20 C15 brochures in the last bit of territory I didn't get time to cover during my first campaign. I also posted a little note through the door of all my 9 customers from the last campaign telling them how much they owe and when and what time I will deliver, with my phone number if the time or date is inconvenient for them. I hope that will mean all my customers will be in when I deliver. I have already got a text from a customer asking to deliver another night, so that has already saved me a wasted journey, especially as she is on a different street.
My orders are due to arrive on tuesday, very excited as I haven't done this part yet - the putting together of my customer orders.
The only problem though, is that when my website migrated over to the new one, it duplicated the orders that I placed, which I hadn't realised until I saw my balance was higher than expected, and after calling avon all I can do is reject the smaller order, so that I don't have to return the lot, which is fine, except that I ordered the starter kit in that order and not in my duplicated order that has all my customer orders in it, however I won't be able to pick and choose, I have to either reject the whole first order and lose the starter kit, or keep the first order and have masses of returns to send back -- booo!!! I really wanted the starter kit because I don't have a decent bag to carry my brochures in yet.

Thanks Kat.
Regarding Mailplans, I had wondered which one MK was on, but turns out there may be different ones even locally.0
