My customer base is about 95 already - through sheer hard work canvAssing and recanvassing - although not everyone ordered. I had a couple of big orders in that - one for £70ish quid and another fro £60ish quid. I think I had about 50/ 60 orders. It has its downside though - I am head to toe in avon products at the mo - My dining room and my kitchen and my office are just covered in Avon!!!
    haha yes I can imagine!

My ASM is coming to see me again today ... why is it that I have the ASM coming over instead of a SL? Anyhoo ... she's fab and I'm not quite sure why she's coming over but I think it's just to check everythings going ok

Who were you recruited by, Melvis? If you wre recruited by the ASM you'll be in the ASM's team. Head Office don't like ASMs passing on hot leads to Sales Leaders. So if so, that's why it's the ASM coming round. Or if your SL is fairly new, the ASM could be checking that they've gone through everything properly with you. Mine did this - she said it was fine, but then the girl quit before her first order anyway :(

The ASM signed me up, but when I was reading on here I thought it was SL's that signed you up so got a bit confused!

It'll just be one of your follow-ups then, Mel. There's supposed to be four in total; the sign up, the first order, the first returns, and a general hows-it-going. You don't necessarily get all four, depending on the ASM/sales leader. The stuff we're supposed to go through can get a little repetitive!

I only had one proper meeting, but despite that, my ASM has probably spent more time with me than anyone else on her team anyway! Because I went for SL so quick, and because I came up with so many madcap ideas to show her, and because we just generally get on really well, I probably see her twice a week minimum anyway! That might continue even now, because most of her team are not very enthusiastic, and she'd rather go door-knocking with someone who actually wants to do it, rather than cajole another SL into it when they're patently not interested and won't really try.

I just had a weird call from one of my new streets. Have to admit, they seemed to be a bit useless, but I carpeted them in books anyway. A lady has called today to say she has a huge order, when am I picking it up?! I said Thursday (got a lot on between now and then lol) and she said are you definitely coming? I said of course, but give me your order now or I'll pick it up early if you like.
She said no, it's okay, I just wanted to check you're not going to do a disappearing act between ordering and delivering, like every Rep we've had on this street in the last FOUR YEARS! She said she has another person she can order Avon from, but she'd rather go with me because I'll give her a free gift!
SO there you go - conclusive proof that the incentive IS working! And that the average Avon rep doesn't stay long.

What do you offer the free gift for? Spending a minimum amount?

Yes, free gift when you spend over £25. It was originally £20, but with Christmas coming I thought it was time to up it a little ;)

I've got bits from when I went to Corby, obviously, but I have also bought (and am still using) cheaper bits from the brochure. Naturals is usually very good for £1 items, plus there is a 5 for £5 coming up in C17 that will be good for buying free gifts. I've also used bits and bobs I've got by combining orders - some good make-up and some color trend mobile lip glosses from C13 went down really well.

At the end of the day, I can either sit and moan about this girl who keeps stomping my territory, or I can fight her off. Freebies and good general customer service are one way I can do that. Okay, so I do still sit an moan about her, but you know what I mean ;)

I think I shall try the free gift thing on my next campaign .. it's bit tricky printing slips off to put in with my books as we don't have a printer. Managed to print off loads of the slips about when I'll be calling back etc at work but we're not really meant to

And I still can't pay online  I'll ask my ASM about it later, I might just have to give up and pay the post office 50p :rotfl:

Wow I am so busy - my order arrived yesterday and I have 17 boxes to check off. My final total for camp 15 was £914 so this is gonna take me a while i think.
I've got my first 2 sign ups tomorrow and my ASM coming to check my paperwk on Tues. Then am going prospecting for the first time on Wed.
Ive got to deliver/collect my orders Monday - and need to get my camp 17 books ready for then as am one stop selling now.
I had my party last night and only 2 people turned up so was a giant flop as expected - But - one lady took 5 books and said she works in a large office with lots of women so she'll take them to work - so not all bad.

Does anyone know how soon after you have been tagged as a SL you can use the SL website??

    Pippa

How did you get that many orders?! How many houses do you have?
