HI All
Haven't been on here for a while as been busy. Started a new temp job plus sorting out Avon. My order eventually arrived on the Friday delivered to someone in the next street. I have managed to get all the orders out and paid for. Just have to pay Avon now. Gave books to existing customers and only 3 of them re-ordered but I did get 11 new customers this time from houses I didn't do last time plus an order from someone who didn't order last time. Got another 30 houses to put books out to that didn't order last time and order has to be in by Tuesday. Got less than £200 orders this time but still waiting for 3 more orders to come in so might make £250. Really thought I would get at least £300 this time but orders have been smaller. I didn't get the competition cards but Avon have reassured me they will be in with my next order. Mind you none of my customers has mentioned not getting them. I didn't get any of the leaflets to put out with bk 4/5 either but customers don't know so won't miss it I suppose. I would of thought a big company like Avon would get things right but they have made loads of mistakes with my first order. I will keep on though as I like Avon products and have placed a £17 order myself. Looking forward to camp 5 as I want to order the brown bag at £7.50.
Anyway how is everyone else?

Sounds like it's going quite well for you with customers building up nicely :T
The higher your customer base, the more chance you have of orders - if one doesn't order, another will, so keep up the good work!'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Just a quickie. I've had a customer contact me who is after some Anew cream but she needs it before my next delivery date. Can I order of the customer website? Do I charge her the postage? and if they are offering free postage at the mo can I still charge the going rate for postage so I make a bit of money? Or is that too cheeky?0

Don't quote me on this but I THINK it would be better to order an "additional order" as a rep.... the charge on that is £2.50 (cheaper than the customer postage) BUT i dont think you get commission on it... someone else might know about that.
If it was me id only pass on the postage if she was an "awkward" customer..... (to discourage her from doing it again)... if she was "ok" i might say it would be £1.25 extra for the early delivery... but if she was a great regular customer id pay the postage myself! But thats just me... im a big softie! lol
On a similar subject does anyone know if you have to pay postage on requesting "immediate replacements" as i just submitted some for items i was invoiced for but that were missing from the box but it didnt say anything about charging me anywhere.....0 -

I've been thinking about asking in the local businesses if they would like a book. I'm not sure how to go about it though... I'm not sure they would let me leave books in the places as were not that close a community round here (despite being friendly scousers!) and places like my hairdresser have their own hair product concession thing inside/nail bar/waxing/facials etc so i doubt they'd want their customers buying avon shampoo etc which is at least £5 a bottle cheaper or doing their own nails/facials etc !!!!! :rotfl:
I need to make it not just about earning money for me so they dont think they are just doing ME a favour... but I dont want to give them "cash" commission as such, but i was thinking about saying any orders i get from them 10% will go to charity... but i wouldnt know how to go about that.... what would be the tax implications for both of us? Would i send the cheque to the charity direct and ask for a receipt to show the business?
I cant even drum up the guts to ask in the newsagent can i put up a flyer!I have all these lovely business cards too but no-one to give them out too!!! Argh! I wish i was more confident!
