    Hi could someone advise on a cheap laptop for my elderly parents will be used for web browsing, emails and maybe plugging into the tv to watch movies (although this could be dropped if to costly)

    Bit harsh given there have been plenty of £350+ laptops discussed here. The topic name is a little outdated given a £350 laptop 4 years ago (when this thread was started) is not quite the same as a £350 laptop today.

    Having said that, that Sony Vaio is nothing special pricewise (unless your one of those fools who thinks the word Sony is worth paying a hundred quid premium for)

    £350 4 years ago would have got you an average laptop, today you can pull some real bargains for the price.:)
