    Well, I missed the one I was looking at (out of stock) and the ones above have run out too. Got to get a bit quicker!! Anybody else spotted any reasonable laptops for under £300?

    Hiya I am looking at this laptop for my kids it is the Toshiba SATELLITE C660-21Z they have them instore at Asda for £319. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal or not please?

    Not particularly, but not terrible either.

    First as opposed to second generation i3 processor and no expandability.

    There have been some quite good value Fujitsu machines rolling around that seem a bit better for children. 'Spill resistant' keyboards, better webcam, Express card slot, HDMI output, Bluetooth...

    Hp mini 1103 is near $350 on newegg.
    you can have a search on the on-line market such as it.
    there will be a fitable one for you.

    why would someone buy from the US when they don't ship to UK>?

    I bought an Acer Aspire 5552 in July from ebuyer for £270, but it became faulty and they are out of stock and won't be getting any more in :( So I need a new laptop but I can't seem to find one for same price!

    Any suggestions?

    Max budget £300 at a push.
