Is it a decent machine for the money?
TIA.
has it got a stiff one piece mouse button?
it's hard not to buy a decent laptop (in terms of specs), unless you are a gamer nowadays, reliability can be a different story. Also checkout Comet etc, they usually have a competing equivalent product, possibly Compaq branded (same as hp), and search for shop discount codes to get an extra few £ off.!!

All laptops can multitask efficiently, startup software or malware makes machines slow, tidy it up as follows or backup your data and factory restore it using acer erecovery, and it won't be slow anymore

Also check to see if it's still slow without the battery in, ie running off mains!!

Here's a laptop for under £350 (after Quidco cashback) that has a 2nd generation CPU (i3-2310M). Its an Acer with 4GB RAM, HDMI, USB3 etc. Base price is £399. Use code HWARE10 to get 10% off (checked working Monday 2 May 10am). Go via Quidco to get 6% off (BUT NB. THIS INCREASED RATE EXPIRES IN 13 HOURS)
Here are the links :-
