Very cheap, at that price you could afford to upgrade every few years!

I suppose the main problem is the single core processor, but in a few years today's mid range computers will be bottom of the range.

It still outperforms the processor on my PC.

My PC: 396

Celeron M925: 878

Shame no webcam though, but many don't use them at all.

Please help,I have found 3 laptops at argos all now reduced to £350,but which one do you consider better .They are


Toshiba c660-17J 15.6 inch 500gb 2.3ghz

• Intel Pentium T4500.
• 2.3GHz processor speed.
• 3GB memory.

Toshiba C660 500GB 15.6 inch
Intel Celeron T3500
2.1GHz processor speed
3GB DDR3 RAM memory

And

Toshiba C660 320GB 15.6 inch
Intel Core i3 380M
2.53GHz processor speed
2GB DDR3 RAM memory

I've mentioned in a couple of previous posts that I've always used the Dell Outlet site in the past with good results. Might be worth checking out before making a decision.

Plenty of alternatives on there usually.

The best one? I'd go for the fastest one which is the i3 380M. Argos are doing the Toshiba C660 320GB with a 15.6 screen, they are saying save £150.00,
Is this machine any good for me..? all i want it for is ebay, emails facebook and watching the odd movie..:beer:

Yep its fine and has a 2 year warranty. The Tesco Acer (same price) has the same processor but has more memory and a bigger disk. Also has HDMI which is nice as you can easily plug the laptop into a HDMI TV/monitor.

If a laptop is your main computer, an external monitor is a good idea. The Toshiba just has a VGA connector. I don't know how reliable the Acer will be.
