I am feeling a little chilled (63f) BUT just saw Ebico has put up its rates!!!!

Have to spin out current £30 on each meter so avoid the new rates for a bit!

Until you have no socks / hats / t-shirts / cardigans / duvets left in ther house, there is no excuse at all to be fiddling with that thermostat.
  • still not had any heat on. Hubby put his BIG jumper on this morning but bin catching up on some tv from 4od and the TV and puter have brought the temperature up to 21 degrees C. Still using energy I guess though. Can't win all ways.

Im affraid to say we have had to start putting the heating on for an hour every morning. We have just moved into a new flat with only single glazing windows and its been soooo cold in the mornings - so the timer has been set just to take the chill off a bit. Still pleased with myself because it would usually be on permanently by now!

  • Just occurred to me that there may be people reading this thread who are more sensitive to the cold so it might be worth saying that while it may be a good idea to hold back on the heating a bit do not risk your health. Get a room thermometer and do not let the temperature drop into the danger zone- get a free thermometer from helptheaged etc. and if the temperature goes too low no matter how you feel put the heating on as your health has GOT to come first.;)

I woke up fantastically toasty this morning with the faux fur fleece I recently bought out Instore on top of the duvet. I've turned into little Linus from the Charlie Brown show carrying my blanket all over the flat - it's on my bed, on the sofa, sit on the cimputer chair to take the chill off it. £5 very well spent.

Definitely the best investment this year.
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
